Yesterday, Myolie Wu as the 「健障大使」 (honorary ambassador for children with learning disability) attended the 「健障同心」 adoption plan presentation function held by Po Leung Kuk. It was attended by Po Leung Kuk’s chairman 陳小寶, community welfare’s deputy director 馮伯欣 and other Po Leung Kuk executives at Causeway Bay. The father-in-law of Myolie’s sister, executive 鄭錦鐘, was also in attendance. He presented lucky pockets to Myolie after she said CNY greetings to him.

To match the CNY festivities, the organizers made arrangements for the children with learning disabilities to have lion dances and a dance party. One little girl kept looking at Myolie the entire time. She also kept winking at Myolie. During the group picture, the little girl was still looking at Myolie and also blew kisses to her. Myolie couldn’t hold in her laughter. At the end of the function, Myolie requested a picture with the little girl. The girl became so excited that she couldn’t stop hugging Myolie. She even buried her head in Myolie’s chest! Myolie did not mind and said: “She must have watched TV series so she recognizes me!” Myolie also commend the children’s lion dance was up to par. It turns out that Myolie also performed a lion dance at an artistes gathering but she wasn’t as good as the children. So people should not look down at people with learning disability.

Myolie expressed that she was honoured to be given the ambassador title. She really wants to give back to the community and will attend as many similar events as possible. She hopes to appeal to her friends and the public to donate more to help change the lifestyles of people with disabilities. Myolie revealed that she sponsors two children. The children are a one-year old Indian girl and a four/five year old Congo boy. She feels great sponsoring children because she can change the lifestyle of poor children with a little bit of money. Do you intend to visit your son and daughter? She expressed that she can only write to them as of now.

(“Did anyone make a love declaration?”) Yes, a little girl just did!” On Valentine’s Day, Myolie would go to Malaysia to attend a promotional event. She would join Liza Wang in US-Canada for a performance on February 17th. Is Bosco Wong involved? Myolie expressed that he had conflicting schedules.
