Miriam Yeung wishes son have a happy childhood

Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of a flagship cake shop. Miriam revealed that her son Torres is multi-talented since he goes to cooking class, learns how to draw, and learns to sing and dance. Speaking of TVB variety program, "The Treadmill Runner" (沒有起跑線?), the reporter told Miriam about parents commenting that nowadays children don't triumph when they start to move but it's when they are given birth. After listening, she feels that it is unhealthy and exaggerative to think of it that way, she said: "It was already a lot when I got to choose the day to give birth to Torres. When I gave birth to Torres, I didn't do it based on the school enrollment period, which is why he wasn't born in June. I would want to coordinate with Hong Kong's enrollment process but I also want my son to have a happy childhood when he is 3-5 years old. Health and happiness will cultivate a better attitude and eventually benefit learning."

Miriam revealed that after she finishes the three films she have on hand, she plan on having another child next year. It doesn't matter whether the child is a boy or girl, or whether she will be able to conceive successfully; she will let everything happen naturally.

Model Kathy Chow (周汶錡) also attended the event and was asked about good friend Christine Ng's (伍詠薇) husband being caught having an affair. She expressed that she has already texted Christine and that she will let Christine respond to the rumors herself.

Miriam Yeung reveals svelte figure after pregnancy

Hong Kong singer-actress Miriam Yeung has regained her pre-pregnancy figure just four months after the birth of her son, Torres.

The 38-year-old proclaimed that she has shed around 13kg and is putting in much effort to get back to her size before pregnancy. At a recent endorsement photo shoot, Miriam looked radiant and energetic while showing off her slender back.

"I'm excited to resume work," Miriam said. "I like working. I can also meet my longtime colleagues."
Miriam admitted to missing her son badly when she was working, but has arranged for the nanny to send Torres's photos to her regularly.

Miriam said she would manage both career and family well, and would be a "successful, modern mum."
Recently, Miriam wrote a handwritten thank you letter to Torres, which said that he has brought joy to both Miriam and husband, Real Ting.

His birth has taught Miriam the importance of family while giving her a taste of the tiring lives of mothers. For instance, she reportedly hurt her arm while carrying the baby. Miriam clarified that she misused her arm's weight in order to hold herself up while she was pregnant, making it extra susceptible to injury.
While she suffered some depression from this injury, she said that she will also learn to cherish and love her family even more.

I have also been disturbed a third person before, this is an unfavorable experience." As Miriam did not say who the person was, making the situation confusing? Ah Sa said: "She is only sharing her life events, she is currently very happy." Regarding the clash in shoes, Ah Sa expressed that they both have the same taste, pretty things are naturally loved by many.

Asian Artistes Gather to Raise $18 Million for Japan

Translated by: sparkles_n15 @ asianfanatics.net

Organized by the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild, over 300 singers and artistes took part in the 'Love Without Borders' candlelight event last night in Victoria Park. The three-hour concert ran from 7:00-10:00 p.m. and was broadcasted live. Approximately 10,000 people came to show their support, with more people showing up as the night wore on. Jackie Chan personally donated $3 million towards the cause. By the end of the night, they raised over $18 million, which will be donated to the Salvation Army to help with the relief efforts in Japan. The Japanese Consulate-General in Hong Kong went on stage to thank the generosity and support of all the Hong Kong citizens. He promises to relay their messages of hope back to everyone in Japan.

The fundraiser gathered stars from all over the world, including Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Indonesia. However, singers from China were noticeably absent. Artistes from Japan who specially flew to Hong Kong for the event included renowned Enka singer Sen Masao, Nakamura Masatoshi, Judy Ongg, and members of AKB48. Everyone thanked the citizens of Hong Kong for their support. Sen Masao sang his classic song 'Kitaguni no Haru' along with Joey Yung and Shirley Kwan. The song was sung in Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. Sen Masao said, "Everyone has gathered here today for this cause. I am so grateful for all the warmth we've received." He also said 'thank you' in Cantonese. Judy Ongg, who resides in Japan, performed the themesong from the Japanese series 'Oshin' with Miriam Yeung and Mag Lam. On stage she said, "Japan is my adopted country. It is suffering so much right now. However, with so many Hong Kong friends showing their support for this fundraiser, I'm sure these sentiments will reach everyone in Japan. Japan will surely rise from the ashes and rebuild itself again."

Nakamura Masatoshi says that Japan is in the midst of a large crisis. He hopes that everyone can lend their support. He also revealed that his younger cousin passed away when his car got swept by the tsunami. There are still 5,000 people unaccounted for in his hometown, which is half of its population. However, he believes Japan has the power to overcome this crisis. He is very thankful for the help everyone in Hong Kong has given. He also expresses that he's worried about the radiation in Tokyo. There has been a lot of discrepancies with the government reports, so the news is not very reliable. Right now Tokyo is also facing a water deficit. He is prepared to turn his efforts to support Tokyo as well. That night Nakamura performed the song 'Oretachi no Tabi' alongside Aaron Kwok.

Agnes Chan, who has a Japanese husband and resides in Japan, said that she was in tears when she lost contact with two of her sons during the earthquake. She hopes that everyone will cherish their lives and not take anything for granted. She also believes that there is hope in life and sang the song 'Soko ni wa Shiawase ga Mou Umareteiru Kara' for everyone in Japan.

Many Korean artistes also attended the event. Kwon Sang Woo, Wonder Girls and Park Jin-young all showed their support for Japan. Kwon Sang Woo said that it's a rare opportunity for so many artistes in Asia to gather together for a fundraiser. While he still feels the pain and sadness from the destruction in Japan, he believes that everyone's efforts will help the Japanese face the challenges ahead. As for the Wonder Girls and Park Jin-young, they sang the song from the 'I Love Asia' concert, which was written for the Sichuan Earthquake in 2008.

Yesterday TVB broadcasted clips of singers from the Big 4 Companies. However, the only TVB artistes that took part were Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong, Mag Lam and Joyce Cheng, which was little in comparison.

Artistes from China did not take part in the event. Eric Tsang was asked whether this was due to the tense relations between China and Japan? He said, "We contacted China artistes. They indicated the possibility of holding their own fundraising event. That was why we didn't invite them. This time the Hong Kong fundraiser mainly featured artistes from around Asia."

Translator note: Song titles were translated using the Japanese names. The article does not indicate whether the songs were sung in Chinese or Japanese.

Translated by: aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/

Miriam Yeung will be holding her concert on October 7th - 10th in Hong Kong Coliseum. Miriam will be doing a wedding rehearsal at the concert and Thomas Chan is her concert designer. Thomas especially tailored a bridal look for Miriam. Even before the concert, Miriam already held her wedding banquet for early excitement. Miriam appeared in a low-cut wedding dress for the concert poster shooting, she could not help but praise herself: "Looks like I do have a career line!"

Miriam was very excited to be able to look like a bride for the concert poster. She started losing weight for the wedding preparation, eating tomatoes, cherries every day and follows a weight loss menu. She also stopped eating microwave dinners at night and is going for jogs, the gym and boxing. She successfully lost 5-6 pounds already. As the other costume designs for the concert all bring a wedding feeling, Miriam's most favorite one is the simple wedding dress she wore for the poster. She plans to wear it during the wedding toast and the dress will be re-designed. Asked about her concert being a wedding rehearsal, will her husband Real Ting be on stage? She laughed: "Let's see if he has enough courage to come up to the stage!"

Now known as Mrs. Ding, the night before Miriam Yeung attended an event and continued to give out red envelopes. Asked if she'll work hard to make a "little Miriam" to get the red envelopes back? She said: "Don't need to be that rushed. This year I am having a concert, I am being extra careful before the concert, wouldn't want to get pregnant accidentally! Would the challenge be dancing on stage with a big belly?" As for her wedding, Miriam says: "Watching the seating arrangements for this event, I started thinking about the seating arrangements for my own wedding ceremony. There are more than 20 people on my husband's side, so we have to add two more tables. We will be hosting the wedding ceremony around November or December. I hope to complete it in one day."

Miriam attended Vivienne Westwood's Spring/Summer Fashion Show and wore the brand's latest black night gown. She will be busy with a new movie and movie promotions. She even has to spend her 36th birthday during China promotion, and has no time to fix the date for her wedding banquet.

"This will be the biggest celebration dinner in my life. He's(Real) good in organising events so I'll let him be in charge!" Miriam revealed she's on the waiting list for many hotels for banquet in December. She doesn't mind which hotel as long as it's has big space. As for rarely meeting her husband, she said the less they meet, the less mistakes.

Does Miriam think it's better to cancel the "media award"? She replied every awards presentation has their own system. If they want fairness, they would do what Jacky Cheung suggested, the 4 stations to combine and hold only one award presentation.
