Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam to Film “Modern Dynasty 2”

Modern Dynasty 2, the highly anticipated spinoff series of the successful drama Modern Dynasty, has generated significant excitement among fans. The star-studded cast, including Charmaine Sheh, Raymond Lam, Chilam Cheung, and other TVB stars, promises to deliver a compelling story filled with power struggles within a wealthy family.

Producer Tommy Leung has confirmed Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam's participation in the series, marking their reunion after their last collaboration in Line Walker. Fans eagerly anticipate the sparks that will fly between the two talented actors, who are known for their on-screen chemistry. Their previous collaborations have been well-received, adding to the anticipation surrounding their reunion in Modern Dynasty 2.

In addition to Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam, the drama also features Him Law, Kelly Cheung, Toby Leung, and a cameo appearance by Gallen Lo. The cast is composed of familiar faces from TVB, creating a sense of nostalgia for viewers.

Filming for Modern Dynasty 2 was initially planned to begin earlier this year but was delayed due to uncertainty over the female lead. However, Charmaine's confirmation of her participation and her current study of the script indicate that the series is finally moving forward. With Charmaine's busy schedule, which included filming Chinese variety shows and TVB's The Queen of News, the timing had to be carefully coordinated to accommodate her availability.

Charmaine expressed her excitement about working with her friends in Modern Dynasty 2. She has previously built strong chemistry with Raymond and Gallen in Line Walker and Seven Sisters, respectively. Additionally, she looks forward to reuniting with her close friend Toby on set. Charmaine is currently immersing herself in the script, preparing to bring her character to life in the highly anticipated drama.

Fans of the original Modern Dynasty and the talented cast members can expect an engaging storyline, dynamic performances, and memorable interactions as Modern Dynasty 2 takes them on a thrilling journey through the power struggles within this wealthy family.

Chilam Cheung, Fala Chen, Michael Tse, Carrie Lam and Kiki Sheung were guests on TVB game show What the Face. Wearing dark shades, Chilam expressed he's wearing shades because of his blood shot red right eye. Asked how he got injured? He joked: "I suspect it's family violence, got beat by my son because when I woke up today, I saw the redness in my eye. The doctor said it's nothing serious, just a burst blood vessel. Luckily my outfit matches with the theme, Chok enough." Perhaps it's the stock market crisis that is the culprit? Chilam said: "No! My wife bought long-term investment ones, no impact. As for myself, because earlier I read a Feng Shui book and it said there would be some concern in the stock market for the next half year. It so happened I believed it, so I withdrew 6 months ago. I hope the market will be adjusted soon. The current housing prices are just way too distorted."

The day before yesterday, Chilam Cheung and good friend Aaron Kwok were having hotpot together. On his microblog, he posted a bandaged photo. Turns out that a few days ago, he had to visit the hospital for surgery. Yesterday, Chilam wrote a blog entry titled "Pain" revealing that his nasal bone is skewed due to allergies in the nose and congestion. He hopes that the pain can be resolved soon!

Currently resting in the hospital, Chilam wrote to fans on his blog that he's safe, he said: "The surgery require general anesthesia, so I don't know if its painful or not. The illness resulted from long term nasal allergies, so had to clear out the stuff inside that caused the misalignment of the nose bone." After the surgery, the anesthetics gradually disappeared, Chilam started feeling pain. He said: "I have two long sticks stuck on my nostrils, so I have to breathe through my mouth, it's so painful. Blood liquid keeps coming out of my nose, the anesthetics is making me feel so out of it. But I hope all my patience can be exchanged for a better life!"

Reporters phoned Chilam, he said: "Thank you all for your concern. I'll be discharged from the hospital in a few days, not much of a problem. However, the illness has been with me for a long time, so short pain better than long pain. My wound from the surgery is still pretty painful, even talking hurts, so I am trying to talk less."

The other day, Chilam Cheung arrived at the radio station with a beard to promote for his new album release in October. He expressed that he's leaving the "handsome" image that has followed him for 10+ years. Chilam is considering to do a new "man" look for the new album, growing a beard. He smiled: "I've been 'handsome' for so many years already, I want a change."

The preparations for Chilam's new album will take 2 months, for the meantime, he has only recorded 3 songs. Asked for what reason he's not recording his songs faster, he helplessly said: "I have to wait for the lyrics first. (Lam Jik hasn't prepared them yet?) He has helped me with the lyrics before, I would choose him to do the lyrics for me again." Lam Jik and Chilam were once neighbors, he often invites him over for dinner at his house, so if Chilam wanted to get him to help out, Lam Jik would quickly respond.

HK Artistes 88 Fund Raising Campaign" strict dress code; Eric Tsang pardons Justin Lo's hat

Southern Taiwan experienced serious damages and flooding from the recent typhoon. Tonight Hong Kong Artists gather for the disaster relief. Last night, more than a hundred artists recorded a theme song for the Disaster Relief for promotional purposes. In order to respect the event, the organizer Eric Tsang created a strict dress code for the artists. Justin Lo put the dress code in the "test", but the kind-hearted Eric generously let him go for that.

"Artistes 88 Fund Raising Campaign" (8.8水災關愛行動) is held tonight (Monday 8/17/09). The other night nearly 150 local HK artists prepared for this event, as they arrived together in TVB City to record for the campaign's theme song "Rippling Thousand Mile Heart" (滔滔千里心). Artists who attended includes: Alan Tam, Eric Tsang, Chilam Cheung, Yumiko Cheng, and a bunch of TVB/ATV artists. Even Joey Yung who just finished with the "Summer Popl Live in HK" concert last night came on time at 12pm to record the song.

However, none of the Gold Label artistes came! Gold Label's spokesperson explained that because TVB notified them too late, the singers had to preform "Summer" and was unable to prepare in time. But tonight, they sent out 8 artistes to perform including Justin Lo. As the organizers prohibits artistes to wear hats, the spokesperson said that they will need to get a better understanding from TVB.

To respect the disaster relief event, as one of the organizers Eric Tsang expressed on stage that he hoped that all of the Artistes could dress the same, which poses an image of unity. But only Justin who did not follow the same style, yesterday Eric responded to this in another view and pardoned Justin. He said: "This is his personal signature style. I will respect that, I wouldn't want him to wear a wig to the event."

Michael Tse black face
Last night before recording, Eric explained the dress code to the participating Artistes: "If you did not have a white shirt, you can request one from the department. If you have a low-cut shirt on, you must change it. I hope everyone takes off their sunglasses, don't wear hats or roll up your sleeves. Especially on Monday, blue jeans are preferred. We will give out white T-shirts, I hope you all do not break the rules." Because time was tight, many Artistes violated the dress code. Michael Tse who had a jacket on was told by Eric to take it off immediately, his face turned black as he flings off his jacket. Alan Tam arrived late and wore the wrong shirt, he wore a black outfit.

Just finished filming "Born Rich", Anita Yuen was seen ditching her son Morton to go out with her husband Chilam Cheung to Central to sweep the stores. Not sure if its because of the work pressures, but Anita appeared to have some fat.

At 3:30pm, Anita, husband Chilam and a friend showed up on On Lan Street, where Reporters spotted them and took pictures. Chilam immediately waved at Reporters. Afterwards they went into a "Superman" fashion store and split up. Anita constantly selected clothing for her husband, when Chilam tried on the shirt and looked in the mirror, Anita also gave him advice. After 30 minutes, Chilam finally picked out the shirt and a pair of sneakers, Anita then paid for the items on the counter. After, the three of them left the store and left in their 7 person van.

Charlene Choi in Chendu for musical; asked Gillian to help her buy from sales

Source: Sina
Date: Monday December 22, 2008
Translated by Initial E @ http://asianfanatics.net

On the night of the 20th, Ah Sa 阿Sa (Charlene Choi), Jimmy Lin (林志颖) and Chi Lam (张智霖) accepted the invitation of the brand Chivas and appeared on the stage of the Chengdu Century City Exhibition Center. After finishing her performance in the musical 'Knight Stars', Ah Sa accepted an interview with reporters. She revealed that right now, Ah Jiao 阿娇 (Gillian Chung) is working very hard with the company, waiting for the chance for a come back.

Her earnings have increased

Because of reasons well known, Ah Sa became the main focus of the reporters' attention. However, she is already used to this, and answered all their questions. When talking about the prize she recently won, '2008's Most Popular Brand Award', Ah Sa looked extremely excited. She expressed that this is the first time she got the glory of being the Queen of Endorsements, and the fact that the King was Andy Lau (刘德华), and she got to share the award with him - this is something she is very proud of. A reporter asked, "Is this a blessing in disguise after going solo?" Ah Sa shook her head and said, "Twins has not disbanded, this is only a period of adjustment. Indeed, this year I have more than 10 endorsements, and my earnings are a little bit more than last time, but this is because last time it had to be split among two people. However, the amount I've earned more is not a lot, because in the past the fee for two people was higher than for one, and at that time we had our own personal endorsements."

Handling Ah Jiao

In the past, everyone thought that Ah Sa would dodge all questions regarding Ah Jiao. But wen the reporter questioned her, she was very cooperative and said: "Ah Jiao is still living in the shadow of that incident, right now she is working very hard and cooperating with the company in various events. All of us are anticipating for a chance for her to come bacl. However this needs patience, and when the opportunity comes, Twins will return."

"How is Ah Jiao now? What is her condition?" Ah Sa revealed: "After she left for a while, my work schedule was still packed. Of course she helped me with some stuff. Do you all know, right now Hong Kong has lot of big sales, I don't have time to buy clothes, but Ah Jiao spent an entire day helping me to look at the goods. Whenever I need them, I would call her and ask her to help me buy many great looking outfits." She also said that maybe because of shopping for an entire day, Ah Jiao's mood was rather good recently.

Jimmy Lin: Forever 17 Years Old

Even though he has debuted for more than 10 years, Jimmy Lin hasn't decided to be more mature. No matter what he wears or the expression he has, he still looks youthful. When having the interview, he sat side by side with Ah Sa. His head was even smaller than Ah Sa's. A reporter couldn't hold herself back and asked, "You've debuted for so many years, why don't you change your image?" After hearing this question, Jimmy smiled saying: "Not long ago, I starred in an idol drama, 'My Lucky Star', which in Taiwan had high ratings. This shows that the audience recognises me. If everyone still likes me this way, then I have no need to force myself to make more changes to my image."

Chi Lam: Earn money to feed his family

While Chi Lam was having the interview, he was exceptionally humble. Because the place was extremely noisy, whenever the reporters asked a question, he would lean forward, trying to hear the reporter's question clearly. The thing he loves talking about most is his family. Chi Lam expressed, that after having his own family, his attitude has matured a lot, as a family takes up a lot of his time. Like his son - being his father, "I need to make sure he lives life happily." He said, "Now my son is 2 years old, and doesn't need me to spend too much time with him, hence now I must come out to earn money for my family, and earn 'milk powder money' for him." Chi Lam expressed that starting from next year, him and his wife would officially come back, to earn money for their family.
