Sean Lau would like to adopt an Sichuan Earthquake Orphan
Hong Kong’s Bonhams 2008 Spring Antique Auctions and Charity banquet took place last night. Half of the auction funds and banquet earnings will be donated to Sichuan’s earthquake relief plus China’s operation smile Hangzhou Hospital. Guests that attended were Sean Lau, Amy Kwok, Charles Heung Wah Keung.
Last night Sean Lau claimed that he attended the event for the charity purpose and that he didn’t have any antique collections. When asked about the Sichuan Earthquake, he stated that it will take a long time to rebuild homes and hope’s everybody would donate some money for the relief. He has never experienced an earthquake himself, but his wife Amy Kwok has. While she was studying in Los Angeles she experienced an earthquake measuring 5 magnitudes. During the time she was in a lesson and was in complete shock. It seemed similar to horror film scenes and everyone was rushing to escape. Shortly the ceiling had collapsed. When Amy returned to Hong Kong, she saw reports that Los Angeles had horrific aftershocks.
Francis Ng Chun Yu is going to become a father. Sean Lau is a good friend of Francis and had already congratulated him. He states that Francis had been looking very cheerful since the good news arrived. (Asked when Sean would become a father? ) He explains that he has never considered the route of having kids, instead he had chosen the route of Happiness. But since the earthquake incident he had second thoughts and is considering to adopt an orphan from Sichuan. However currently he doesn’t know what the criteria is and how to adopt. But he understands that it won’t be easy or that flexible but will look into it.
