The day before yesterday, Andy Hui held the first of 3 shows of his <> at the HK Coliseum. Though Andy’s girlfriend Sammi Cheng had arrived at HK Coliseum early in the day to assist with preparations, she kept a low profile and remained backstage during most of the show – it wasn’t until Andy’s Big Four buddies Edmond Leung, Dicky Cheung, and William So went onstage near the end of the show that Sammi came out to sit in the audience section. The moment she appeared, the audience started screaming, so of course, Andy’s buddies would not give up such a prime opportunity to have some fun at Andy’s expense.

Edmond Leung spoke first: “Prior to the start of this concert, friends and fans received great news – I’m sure that everyone sincerely wishes for Andy and Sammi to be happy and to get married soon so that they can enjoy a new level in their relationship!” Andy immediately became embarrassed and told Edmond to quit playing around, but to no avail – at the same time, Sammi sat in the audience and looked away shyly when the camera panned over to her during Edmond’s speech. Edmond continued: “The wedding will take place at the HK Coliseum and tickets will be available for sale – third-tier seats will cost $480 [HKD], second-tier seats will cost $800 [HKD], and front row seats will cost $8000!!” Dicky Cheung continued the ‘fun’ where Edmond left off, declaring: “Those who buy the $8000 tickets will get a special treat – the couple will kneel down and pour you tea!” When Sammi heard Edmond and Dicky’s ‘speech’, she bent over in laughter – seeing the positive response from the audience, Dicky continued by saying that the 2nd tier tickets would also cost $8000 so that more people will get the ‘special treat’. Dicky continued to poke fun at his buddy by saying that he is envious of Andy for being able to marry a woman with a $160 million dowry (Sammi) and ‘complained’ that when he himself got married, he didn’t even get a bottle of Yakult! All joking aside, Dicky took on a serious tone later on and gave the blissful couple some heartfelt advice: “For many years, when the two of you dated, it was as though you weren’t dating at all – this time around, you need to forget about the past! This time, don’t be concerned about what others think or say – when you feel like seeing a movie, hold hands and go see it; when you feel like going to a ‘dai pai dong’ to eat, hold hands and go eat; when you feel like going to a street vendor to buy fish balls, hold hands and go do it. I hope that the Media will show you guys some mercy and give you space – if you [the Media] want to take pictures, at least wait until they return home and ‘accidently’ leave the curtains open, then take pictures!”

William So stated that he was really worried about Andy awhile back ago, as he looked a bit despondent and didn’t have anyone to accompany him on activities: “Recently, he has a more positive attitude and is more motivated…he also smiles more. It’s because he has Ah Mi [Sammi], so he’s able to smile like that!” Turning towards Andy, he continues: “Hopefully you continue to maintain that smile – we will definitely support you!” Not being able to stop his buddies from ‘poking fun’ at himself, Andy could only stand there and smile sheepishly – meanwhile, Sammi continued to sit in the audience section, sweetness written all over her face.

With Big Four together again, the 4 guys decided to do a ‘band’ segment for the audience – Dicky was on the drums, Andy was on vocals, Edmond played the saxophone, and William played the melodica. Despite a good effort, this impromptu ‘band’ ended up being a comedy of errors instead, as William kept going off tune and Dicky’s drum sticks kept flying out of his hands – though they did manage to give the audience lots of laughs!

Sammi continued to support her man until the show ended at 11pm, waiting until Andy sang the very last song before heading backstage. Even though the show ended, the fans did not want to leave and eventually Andy came back out to do an Encore, once again performing his and Sammi’s ‘love song’ <>. At the very end of his Encore performance, while performing his last song <>, Andy stated: “This song is very sweet, truly very sweet!” -- after he finished the song, he turned towards the spot in the audience where Sammi had been sitting earlier and said “I Love You!”

Hong Kong celebrity couple Andy Hui and Sammi Cheng recently reconciled after a seven-year split, much to the delight of fans and media alike.

In an interview with the Hong Kong media a few days ago, Andy gave details on how the duo reconciled.

"It's difficult to say when it [the reconciliation] began. [I] went with my feelings. It felt natural when it happened. That day when Sammi and I were spotted by reporters at the restaurant, we reached a consensus to let people who care about us to know the truth -- that we've patched our relationship. Dating is a very normal thing," Andy said.

The singer added that each time he enters into a relationship, he sees the girl as a potential marriage partner. However, Andy has not put much thought into his future with Sammi and hopes to let nature take its course.

Hong Kong actress-singer Sammi Cheng's recent comeback to the entertainment scene after a battle with depression has been filled with talk of her previous 13-year romance with fellow Hong Kong artiste, Andy Hui.

The pair started dating in 1991 and broke up in early 2004 when Andy publicly announced the end of their 13-year relationship. After their high-profiled breakup, Sammi was labeled as an overbearing and bad tempered person, and was reportedly not well-liked amongst Andy's fellow buddies like Dicky Cheung.

Currently at Taiwan for her concert stopover and a new MV shoot, the 37-year-old finally broke her six-year long silence and explained the reason behind their breakup to the Taiwanese press.

"The old me used to be very willful and I took the people who loved me for granted. I am such a person and I have a fiery temper! Especially when I know that he is a person who loves me, it is easier for me to vent my anger on him," she said.

In 2006, TVB’s GM Stephen Chan started hosting the show <> for TVB’s pay channel, a core program that has been popular since its inception. With Stephen Chan’s arrest on alleged corruption charges last month, he has been suspended from all TVB-related duties and his program will also be halted. After the pre-recorded last episode of the show (episode #159 with guest May Fung) airs, it will be replaced by a show hosted by the group Big Four (Dicky Cheung, Andy Hui, William So, Edmond Leung) called «Big Four大四喜».

Yesterday, TVB’s Manager of External Affairs Tsang Sing Ming made the announcement about the new program. He expressed that «Big Four大四喜» will be a brand new program; the 4 hosts will start recording the first episode in April and there will be a total of 13 episodes (airing once a week). The format of the show will be interviews with guests as well as a musical component and will start airing in mid-April. The details of the program are still under discussion amongst the production team at TVB, therefore the interview guest for the first episode has not been decided yet.

Edmond Leung and Karen Lam were married yesterady, ending their 10 years marathon courtship. The wedding was held at Hong Kong Shangri la Hotel with a bangeut of 36 tables. Edmond and Karen did not follow the tradional Chinese wedding event of having the bridemaids blocking the door to stop the groom and the bestmen into the house untill negotiation is done in which the groom has to give a big red packet with a large sum of money to the bridesmaids. The couple even saw each other the night before the wedding.

Edmond arrived at the hotel about 1pm yesterady. He told repoter that he had accompanied Karen to have her body massage the day before the wedding. Than they went home together. Reporter teased him that they had spent the first nwedding night early. Edmond laughed "We have lived together for 10 years, what wedding night? I would be lying if I tell you we don't sleep together. I hope Karen will be happy forever. We appreciate each others positive attitudes. At about 4:30pm Edmond's friend Eason Chan, Conroy Chan, Au Yeung Tak Fan (Radio DJ), Eddie Ng, Dicky Cheung, William So, Andy Hui and Wilfred Lau were all there ready to face the reporters. Edmond was very anxious before the ceremony that he kept sweating. Edmond told reporter he would behave that he would not get drunk. He wanted to have a remarkable wedding. He laughed by saying "I don't want to look for rubbish in a rubbish dump." Asked if he has any surprises for Karen? Edmond said he won't exhibit that Karen just wanted the wedding to be a happy and formal event. Therefore he didn't want people to go wild and crazy in his wedding. Speaking about Vivian Chow has also announced her wedding, Edmond responded "I am not thinking too much. I congratulate them, hope they have a nice family and I have a happy wedding too."

Andy Hui wants to meet Sammi Cheng's new boyfriend

Andy and Miriam and 60 other singers were recording the official song for "2009 East Asia Games" the other night. Jackie Cheung had already recorded his voice clip and later on Alan Tam, Hacken Lee And Eason Chan will follow suit.

Andy's old flame Sammi revealed in a radio interview the other day saying that Andy went with her to church for a sermon . Andy expressed that he does go to church but not every week. Asked if the two might get back together again? Andy joked "Back again? not difficult. (are you two going to date again?) No, it was a joke. In fact we are now talking to each other more, including love, career, family anf friends." Reporter asked if Sammi has someone in mind yet? And if she has, would he wish her well? Andy said if Sammi is happy, so would he. But he wants to meet him. Sammi stated she wants someone who accepts her look without make up on but Andy recokoned Sammi looks prettier without her make up. He aslo stressed that anybody that Sammi choses is a lucky guy. Andy also told rerporter that at the moment, he is concentrating in his career, he is not looking for a partner yet.

East Asia Capital Artist Concert (東亞華星演唱會)

East Asia had recently announced that they took over Capital Artist's music copyrightz and will be holding a concert named : East Asia Capital Artist Concert (東亞華星演唱會), on the 13th and 15th December 2008. The concert will consist of all East Asia artists which includes many of the top singers eg. Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, HoCC, Miriam Yeung, Richie Ren, Wilfred Lau, Ivana, etc.

East Asia Music shows off its singers in a mid-December "East Asia Capital Artists Concert." East Asia recently bought Capital Artists and prepared to hold a concert to show off its singers, in order to polish their brand. Earlier, the East Asia singers filmed the poster for the concert. However, rumors are already circulating over A-Music's Leon Lai and Janice Wei being absent from the poster, and the singers position in the poster. In the poster, Andy Lau is in the center. On either side of him is Sammi Cheng, Miriam Yeung, Richie Ren, and Andy Hui. Denise Ho was behind the first row, but her head shot was located between Andy Lau and Miriam's. Bosco Wong recently joined East Asia and already was prominently featured in the center of the second row, on the same level as Ivana Wong, Wilfred Lau, at17, and Charmaine Fong.

Denies Fighting for Position

Reports indicated that Miriam called boss Peter Lam to get a good position on the poster. As a result of this, Denise Ho was situated behind Andy Lau and Miriam. Miriam responded by saying that a lot of industry insiders have said that the Hong Kong film industry was in bad financial shape, actors have high salaries but still cannot find good scripts. So the "scriptwriters" are now working in the news media, those "stories" are very colorful!

Denise Ho said that in front of her was two "big sisters" (Miriam and Sammi). She is "small" so she should be standing a bit behind. Denise also said that her co-workers joked with her that it was because she was so pretty that she got a big head shot and that already showed her "East Asia Big Sister" status.

Leon and Janice Missing from Poster

Andy Hui said that a lot of singers were from Capital Artists and its New Talent Singing Contest, Gallen Lo, Leon, and Deric Wan all took part. He and Miriam after many changes, have ended up as part of the big East Asia family. Pong Nan also has connections to Capital Artists. Pong's first job was to compose songs for Capital Artist singer 梁浩賢. Pong participated 3 times in the New Talent Singing Contest, but each time lost in the first round.

As for this East Asia concert, both Leon and Janice were both missing from the participants list. East Asia spokesperson Ms. Leung said that Leon and Janice have other work commitments and could not participate.
