Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui Fed Up With TVB

Sunday December 23, 2012 Hong Kong
Source: http://my.entertainm...-040900903.html

Rumour has it that stars Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui have given up hope on TVB, after losing the coveted title at this year's TVB Anniversary Awards.

Popular Asian reported that both Raymond and Kate allegedly voiced their opposition by refusing to work for TVB. While Raymond decided to focus on doing albums, films and mainland dramas next year, Kate Tsui reportedly will dedicate most of 2013 on filming movies.

The rumours came about after it was revealed that the total number of Raymond's votes did not even qualify him for a second place trophy at the event that was held recently. According to reports, Raymond did not even make it into the top three while 2012 TV King, Wayne Lai reportedly won by a landslide of 110,000 votes and Kenneth Ma came in second place with approximately 30,000 votes behind Wayne.

Similarly, Tavia won the Best Actress award with over 110,000 votes while Kate came second, also with 30,000 votes behind.

Sources claimed that the reason for Tavia Yeung and Wayne Lai's victory is due to a struggle between TVB management executives, Catherine Tsang and Virginia Lok.

It was rumoured that the former insisted to hold the awards in mid-December, after the broadcasts of Anniversary dramas, "Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles" and "The Confidant" that stars some of Catherine Tsang's favourites - Tavia and Wayne, allowing them to have a greater chance in winning the Best Actress and Actor awards.

TVB Anniversary Awards 2012 had a new 'one person per vote' system, allowing the audience to vote for their favorite TV King and Queen. At first, everyone thought Raymond Lam would take the title because he had the most fans, but he ended up with nothing! Kate Tsui was only given the 'pork award' (condolence prize) -- "My Favorite TV Female Character" award. [Good News] obtained news from a reliable source of the voting results. On the night of the awards show, TVB announced there was a total of 1,542,922 votes. TV King and Queen each had around 110,000 of the votes. According to the reliable source, Kenneth Ma was actually in second place for TV King, just 30,000 votes behind Wayne Lai; On the TV Queen side, Kate Tsui was in second place with around 30,000 votes behind Tavia Yeung. Raymond Lam did not even make it on the top three.

It was understood, the two TVB executive giants Virgina Lok and Catherine Tsang were in a battle. Catherine insisted on delaying the awards ceremony until the two anniversary series The Confidant and Silver Spoon Sterling Shackles finishes its broadcast, so her favorite artists Wayne Lai and Tavia Yeung could have extra time to boost their momentum and get in more votes, and plus the finales frequently become the hot topics in the city. Results, Wayne and Tavia successfully won the awards. Virgina Lok saw right through Catherine's plot. This directly affected her favorite artists Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui's votes. No wonder the two are attacking back! Apparently Raymond and Kate are fighting back by refusing to accept any TVB series next year. Next year, Raymond is concentrating more on music, Mainland dramas and movies; Kate will be focused more in movies.

TVB series Highs and Lows starring Kate Tsui, Raymond Lam and Michael Miu has been doing very well in the TV ratings. Kate especially hosted a celebration dinner with the entire cast and crew.

Recently, Kate's gang rape scene has been getting heated response on the internet and Netizens have been actively discussing. Kate's recent rumors are also pretty shocking as well! A magazine reported that the divorced Leon Lai sparked love with Kate while working in Mainland. Another magazine reported that she hooked up with Bosco Wong, who had just fallen out of love. That day, Kate laughed off both rumors. She said she hasn't seen Leon since they collaborated in a commercial many years ago. It was also said Leon had fallen in love with women with thick lips? Kate refused to admit that she has thick lips. She laughed: "I haven't been following the news, the magazine are trying to categorize those women, I don't think I have thick lips, I really don't think so!"

Is Kate Tsui the reason behind Leon Lai's divorce?

Reconciliation rumours surfaced when the Hong Kong tabloids claimed that heavenly king Leon Lai and Hong Kong TVB actress Kate Tsui appeared in Shanghai together last week.

The pair met in 2005 and was romantically involved after working together for a telecommunications commercial. This ad also led to a marked increase in Kate's popularity in the Hong Kong showbiz industry.
Leon and Kate bumped into each other again at a mall's opening ceremony in January this year and sparks flew between the rumoured ex-lovers again.

Leon's marriage with model Gaile Lok was on the rocks then. The latter was reportedly furious and left for the US after she knew about his alleged relationship.

Kate Tsui loses voice, Ron Ng help with her lines

We are seeing less and less TVB FaDans and in reaction to this, TVB executives have already started promoting the second line of FaDans. Kate Tsui was fortunate to be one of the heavily promoted actresses this year. The year hasn't even ended yet and she has already had 5 series broadcast, her exposure rate is over the top. However, behind the success, Kate's health is getting worse by the day.

Kate has been a police officer 5 times already, this time in new series Forensic Heroes III, she is finally promoted to OCTB's Senior Inspector. Kate laughed and said the crew would shoot on the mountain top so often, there was a time she thought she was shooting a costume drama instead. However, at the time she was shooting two series simultaneously, so on camera she may look hot, but off cameras, she was suffering from illnesses. Kate said: "From the start, I already had a waist injury, the doctor said my the disk on my lower backbone was shifting. I didn't even know I had an accident and along with my old injuries, I had to go get acupuncture. It was a very difficult period for me. The makeup room is far from the studio, there was a time I had to crawl my way and with heels on!"

When her condition on the waist was getting better, she falls ill again and gets a hoarse voice. Since she cannot drag on the filming progress, Kate took her hoarse voice with her and continued to shoot. Fortunately her good partner Ron Ng was willing to help her with her lines. She laughed: "He really is a good buddy. He saw how I had a man voice and getting off tune when I talked, although he did laugh at me, but he still went to discuss with the director about accommodating me, so I don't have to talk as much. So, viewers out there if you happen to catch this part, please forgive me."

The 5 TVB FaDans and Siu Sangs Kate Tsui, Myolie Wu, Fala Chen, Michael Tse and Ron Ng went to Genting Malaysia for a concert. Showing off her back, Kate was the most eye catching. When Kate invited a random male fan up to duet Little Dimples with her. The excited fan not only brushed Kate's back, but wanted to wrap his arm around her waist too. Kate embarrassingly said: "We just met, don't need to be that close."

Since the fan didn't know how to sing the song, she could only invite another male fan up on stage. At first, the young male fan was doing pretty well on the song, but when Kate held his hand, he was shy and forgot the lyrics. Kate held the young fan's hand, gave him a hug and pinched his cheeks.

Later, she and Michael performed a hot and sexy dance. When Kate performed Love Like Tides, she suddenly covered her face and emotionally teared up.

Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui and Bosco Wong attended separate events and was asked about the TVB poaching crisis. The three of them were very loyal to Virgina Lok. Raymond said as long as Virgina Lok is still with TVB, he will not leave. He said: "TVB treats all their artists well, no bias. (You get 150,000 per episode when shooting in Mainland?) Not quiet, 150,000 was the past. (Do you hope to get a pay raise?) TVB and I do not talk about the money." As for Kate, she said she has received the poaching SMS, but she did not pay attention to it because she was taught to be grateful for her blessings: "TVB treats me well, Miss Lok is very important to me. At this stage, I will not consider leaving. I have confidence in TVB."

Also, Bosco also did not pay attention to the SMS. He reassured Virgina that he will stick with Virgina no matter what, just like Raymond, because Virgina raised him. He will not leave TVB.

Although I used code names for the artists, I'm still worried their phone numbers will get leaked!" Reporters teased Fala asking if her boyfriend (Sit Sai Hang) code name is 'husband'? She smiled sweetly: "No, I used an English word to replace his name! (Worried becoming the clone of Raymond Lam's bed photo scandal?) Won't happen, there are no intimate photos at all! (Because after the 'Raymond-Mavis' incident, you learned to be smarter?) Not related! I have always been shy!"

Kate also saw Joyce pretending to be her: "I admire her doing all the homework beforehand. I'm honored that someone is mimicing me, I want to try too, but I haven't thought of who yet. If there's a chance I really hope to collaborate with Joyce and Wong Cho Lam in pretending to be someone else."

When she was filming a scene where she's running to her car under the rain, many onlookers stood by the traffic lights watching and interrupted filming.
