Edison Chen will move to Taiwan for his girlfriend
The Hong Kong artiste plans to relocate to Taiwan so that he can spend more time with his Taiwanese girlfriend, Ann Hong
Edison Chen plans to settle down in Taiwan in order to spend more time with his Taiwanese girlfriend, Ann Hong.
According to the Taiwanese media, Edison will start looking around for an ideal house next month when he moves over.
Edison and Ann, an ex-employee from his boutique in Taiwan, have been dating for half a year. Edison now considers Taiwan as his second home.
The couple attended a promotional event of the fashion brand Stussy together in Taipei last week, showing off their romantic bliss.
Edison also held an autograph session for his book the following day, but his girlfriend did not show up at the event.
When asked if he would be cohabiting with his 22-year-old girlfriend in his new home in Taiwan, Edison replied with a smile, “She is very close to her family. We don't necessarily have to stay together; I am satisfied as long as I can see her more often.â€
The 32-year-old artiste has experienced ups and downs throughout his entertainment career, but the large number of fans who turned up at the autograph session are a testament to his enduring popularity.
Edison has been focusing on his fashion label CLOT in the recent years and it is reportedly doing well. However, the artiste told reporters that he still hopes to return to showbiz.

Edison's parents disapprove of girlfriend
Rumour has it that Edison Chen's mother disapproved of his new girlfriend, Ann Hong.
As reported on Jayne Stars, Edison had taken Ann (formerly reported as "Angela Meng") to meet his parents. However, his folks found 22-year-old Ann to be immature and unable to communicate with them.
Meanwhile, Ann reportedly feels that it is not important whether Edison's parents accept her or not, and believes that their relationship is only between the two of them.
Another rumour stated that Edison also planned a shopping date that included Ann and his mother in order to get them closer. The three of them were seen at the IFC supermarket, but Ann did not speak to Edison's mother at all and only smiled when talking to Edison.

Gillian Chung Returns to Big Screen

Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung is brushing off her sex scandal troubles and will reappear on the silver screen in director Jeffrey Lau's new production, "Once Upon a Chinese Classic."
Led by Hong Kong actor Ronald Cheng and mainland actress Sun Li, the slapstick comedy rallied a cast of 58 Chinese stars, like Huang Bo, Sandra Ng and Eric Tsang.
Gillian Chung plays the role of Sun Shangxiang, an ancient princess and the sister of Sun Quan (182-252), the Emperor of East Wu during the Three Kingdoms period.
The movie is scheduled for release on March 18.
Chung, a member of singing duo Twins, was involved in the infamous Edison Chen sex photo scandal in 2008. The uproar caused by the scandal resulted in her going on a two-year hiatus and her scenes in "Forever Enthralled" being totally removed prior to the film's release at the end of 2008.
But after a few tentative steps, Chung recently fully restarted her showbiz career.
She will stage a comeback concert with Twins partner Charlene Choi at the Hong Kong Coliseum in April. The duo is also reportedly preparing to release a new album with "bouncing back" as the theme, and they have already shot the promotional poster for it.

But while he’s enjoying his additional 15minutes of fame on Asia Uncut and the positive publicity it may spawn, the women whose lives were shredded by the sex scandal are struggling to regain their place in the public eye.
Though Hong Kong actresses Cecilia Cheung and Gillian Chung (one half of pop group Twins) have picked up the pieces, their post-scandal popularity and fame have been somewhat muted.
Cecilia, 29, issued a self-imposed one-year home exile after the incident and concentrated on taking care of her young son Lucas.
She is married to Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse.
She now continues the home exile, though for a happier reason.
She is pregnant with their second child, believed to be another boy. Because of her previous miscarriages, her mother-in-law has confined her to her home to safeguard the pregnancy.
Gillian has been slowly reclaiming her career after her lead role in the movie Butterfly Lovers was passed on to Twins partner Charlene Choi.
She lay low and made her showbiz comeback last March.
Since then, she has done only one Hong Kong stage comedy, I Ought To Be In Pictures, last August.

HONG KONG : He has retreated from showbiz, dealt with death threats and now disgraced pop idol Edison Chen who has been embroiled in Asia's biggest sex scandal, is ready to reveal his side of the story.
The star who reportedly returned to Hong Kong about two weeks ago to settle some business matters - his father had recently declared bankruptcy - revealed in an interview with CNN's Talk Asia that like the other female celebrities involved in the scandal, he too was a victim.
"I believed I was a victim. I believed that I was hurt by this a lot," he told CNN. "I knew that I had nothing to do with the spreading of these photos."
The lewd pictures which he said were taken with women's full consent, showed Chen in compromising positions with at least half a dozen women, including Canto-pop star Gillian Chung, actress Cecilia Cheung and former actress Bobo Chan.
Chen told CNN he was terrified when the scandal broke in February last year. "I was afraid to go anywhere. I was travelling around when I was still in Hong Kong in trunks of taxis, literally, just to get to places," he said.
"I had to be in the trunk for 15 minutes. I didn't even know if I had enough oxygen to be honest with you."
"Even when I had left Asia and I had went to Canada and America, it took me
three months to really get out of the shell that I had put myself in. I mean, I was in darkness for five days," he added.
"I had my drapes closed and I didn't even want to go anywhere."
The photos became an Internet sensation when they were stolen from Chen's laptop when he sent it in for repairs in 2006 and circulated online, forcing the 29-year-old into early retirement and sending him fleeing to his childhood home of Canada.
Like Chen, some of the starlets have endured similar public disgrace and their careers have been ruined.
While Chen has apologised for any hurt or embarrassment caused soon after the photos surfaced last year, he has not spoken to any of the girls identified in the photos since the scandal broke.
"Initially it was because I couldn't find them. Secondly, it was because I didn't really know how to approach and really what to say to be honest with you," Chen told CNN.
Cheung, wife of Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse, has publicly lashed out at the actor and accused him of being a hypocrite, saying the apology was all an act to "win the public's forgiveness".
In an interview with iCable in February 2009, Cheung said, "He has never apologised to us personally. He should at least have called us to say sorry if he genuinely admitted his mistake."
"The photos are still circulating online. How can we live a healthy and happy life? How can we put ourselves back on our feet?" she added.
Responding to the accusations, Chen said, "I'm not trying to say that that justifies any wrong doing that she thinks I've done to her, but I hope that she can understand and I hope that she can forgive me either today or one day, and she'll understand that I had my difficulties and I really, really never wished this to happen upon anyone and I still respect her."
Hong Kong computer technician Sze Ho Chun who was found guilty of stealing, copying and distributing about 1,300 photos, has been sentenced to eight and a half months' jail.
