Netizens spotted a water bottle in TVB's anniversary series Curse of the Royal Harem (CRH). In episode 19, the scene was about Sunny Chan's role as Emperor Guangxi (Do Gwong) discussing business with the imperial officials, but when the camera zoomed out, an empty water bottle was seen sitting on the emperor's desk. Netizens screen captured the goof, posted on discussion forums and ridiculed TVB for playing with 'time travel'. Netizens also made a spoof by putting the caption, "TVB is amazing" underneath the screencap to further ridicule TVB.
Netizens madly criticized TVB for making another sloppy production. Netizens speculated that someone finished the bottle and just conveniently placed it on the set, but none of the artists or staff noticed. Even when the crew were editing the scenes, still no one spotted the mistake, seriously careless! One Netizen joked and wondered if this was a marketing technique by the sponsor.
Reporters contacted CRH's producer Chong Wai Kin, he expressed he was notified about the mistake earlier this morning. Then he immediately went back to rewatch the original. Producer Chong said: "We often complete the scenes in 1 take. Perhaps we accidentally placed the cut camera shots back into the scene. I'm not sure if if it's a human or computer error. We are responsible for this, and in the future, we will review the series a few more times to ensure there are no errors before broadcasting." He also expressed his gratitude to the person who spotted the mistake and for their support.

A Fistful of Stances Finale - Wing Dak Commits Suicide
Source: Mingpao
Translated by: sparkles_n15 @ asianfanatics.net
The two-hour finale for A Fistful of Stances will air tonight to compete with the Hong Kong Film Awards, which will be broadcasted on ATV. The story has finally reached the climax - the villain in the drama, portrayed by Dominic Lam, will atone for all his past crimes. With no one left to turn to, he finally meets his fate.
During the Seven Provinces Tournament, Koo Yu Cheung (Kevin Cheng) and Wing Man Kwan (Jacky Heung) continue to battle it in the ring. With no winner evident, Cheung's sifu, Leung Cham (Ram Chiang) reluctantly raises the white flag when he sees Cheung coughing up blood. As for Cham himself, he dies after suffering from a heart attack. Even though Man Kwan wins the tournament, he suddenly loses feelings in his legs while boarding the train to Shanghai.
Everyone unites together to overthrow Wing Dak, but Dak manages to kidnap Ah Ngan (Natalie Tong) and others in order to blackmail everyone. Unwillingly to be intimidated by Dak any longer, Dak is successfully charged when everyone steps forward to testify against him. When Fong Fong (Angela Tong) taunts him with his nickname, Dak loses it. Fortunately he is stopped by Cheung who apprehends him, and he is arrested by the police. However, Dak refuses to reveal Ngan's location. His wife Chiang Sheung Chu (Kara Hui) goes crazy after being given many injections. At the end, Man Kwan suddenly appears and tricks his father into revealing where he hid Ngan. Man Kwan quickly informs Cheung and the others to go rescue her. Abandoned by his friends and family, Dak finally meets his end by commiting suicide.

At the life and death moment, save others and yourself
Saturday August 1, 2009 Hong Kong

Burning Flames is a drama that Producer Amy Wong has put in great effort. Gaining experience from filming the first two sequels, she is all handy when filming this third sequel. Besides showing the thrills and excitement of rescue operations, she also brought out the various "feelings"disputes among people and the message on "Saving others and yourself".
The two main leads in the drama, Wong Hei and Kevin Cheng, whether at work or during personal time, they have intense burst of conflict. In real life, there are even rumours that both of them are not on good terms. Amy Wong stepped out to explain!
"Saving others and yourself" is the spirit of Burning Flames 3. Through the various characters and cases in the drama, this positive message is conveyed across. Amy said: "when people face difficulties, they shouldn't give up. As long as they are willing to try, there will definitely be a way to solve it. The third sequel of "Burning Flames", is different from my previous styles. However the characters and storyline has totally no link from the previous sequels. In comparision, this sequel has more pressure and more difficulties because we have to show something that has never been filmed before. When we first prepared for it, we have to consider if Wong Hei is still joining as he has died in the second sequel. In the end, we decided to use him and then design his role so that it will be different from the first two sequels."
Wong Hei and Kevin compete in the drama and in real life
Amy continued: "The first two sequels showed the frontline of the fire department and their various equipments. This sequel concentrates on the depiction of human nature. Wong Hei's character is a man who is very stubborn, everything that he does, he must do til 120%. This is all because of his father's influence. His father is a farmer, who thinks knowledge can make one rich. He hopes that his son will be able to bring the family out of poverty. Under the high pressure, Wong Hei managed to become a fireman after all the hard work. However, because of his persistence, it may influence other people, hence it becomes a weakness in his personality! Thus, i wrote another character who is opposite of him, and that is taken on by Kevin Cheng. He is naturally good loking, grew up in a warm and loving family. His father shoulders all the responsibility. However, when his father passed away, he "woke up" and realised that he needs to change. He needs to take care of his mother and sister. Hence, he went to apply to become a fireman. Although he may not be able to really shoulder all the responsibility but he is always lucky. Being good looking has its advantage, the road of life is smoother too. He became Wong Hei's strong opponent. They started off as good friends but in the end, because of work and romance, they had disputes and during the process of maturing, they learnt what is "Save others and yourself". Audience will be captured by it!" Wong Hei and Kevin had disputes in the drama, and in real life, they are rumoured that they are not on good terms. Amy explained: " When we started filming the fire scenes during June and July last year, the weather was very hot. People gets irritated and bad mood easily. Casts also have to wear the fireman suit and film in a hot, difficult and dangerous environment. There is definitely some pressure. Two big man having some frictions is normal. When the filming is over, everything is okay, it's not some serious hatred! During filming, both of them are very professional. The small matter was being blown up. At that time, Kevin had a lot of rumours, was troubled, can't expect him to come to work smiling everyday. But it did not affect the filming at all."
Myolie is entangled in a triangle relationship
As Wong Hei and Kevin Characters are too hard, Amy added Bosco Wong in the middle to help ease the tention. She said: "Bosco's character is very optimistic and warm, very suitable for him. Wong Hei and Kevin are Bosco's mentor one after another. Hence when both are them are not on good terms, Bosco is caught in the middle, how will he handle it? It is talking about the brotherhood between three of them." On the ladies side, Myolie, Wong Hei and kevin are in a triangle relationship. "Myolie's previous drama characters are all very enthusiastic. This time, i requested for her to try a new acting style. Don't deliberately act, even if she does act, must be something that people don't think she did act. Her character is a lady who is very strong in the inside, but looked very soft and weak and needs to be protected. Due to her family background, she is always thinking for others, drowning herself. Even at the cross point of her love relationship, she can't tell if she still loves Wong Hei or is afraid to hurt him. Thus, triggering the dispute between Wong Hei and Kevin. The other female role, Aimee Chan, grew up in an orphanage, cheerful, real. She joined the police force because she wanted to serve the society and love challengers. She and Bosco had a disciplined love and is a happy pair."
Amy Wong is satisfied with the casts' performance
As for the casts performance, Amy Wong said that personally she has very high expectations but she is satisfied. "In the beginning, the casts may not know the whole of my expectations. They need to adjust slowly. Towards the end, some of the scenes turned out to be better than i thought. Bosco has the most easy role because this type of role isn't anything new to him. Wong Hei's character is difficult as in real life, he is someone who is very explosive and outspoken when there is injustice. This is different from his character in the drama where he is a villager who is very down to earth. I have to slowly lead him into his character. Sometimes i will tell him that he is acting too lively! This character is very pitiful, as the story developes, there will be something different, he acted very real! I requested for Kevin to be a good looking guy, isn't difficult for him. However, i arranged a lot of difficult actions for him. He has to learnt ice hockey. Myolie is very smart, she knows very clearly of my expectations." Amy said that there is no pressure on the TV points. "i'm neutral as every drama will have different audience. I only present the final product to people, and the most important is that the audience enjoys it."

He will look into the things audience suggested, but he hopes that audiences could just focus on watching the series first before judging. Regarding to the nickname of "The 3 Customer Shoo-ers", Lo Wing Yin said: "I only have a perspective of a Producer. From when we started filming up until when we finished, I am very satisfied with Patrick Tang, Yoyo Mung and Toby Leung's performance. If we didn't feel that the three of them could take on the roles, then we wouldn't have casted them. I hope that everyone could focus on watching the series and watch how hard the three of them worked."
Towards the criticisms on Patrick Tang, Lo Wing Yin said: "I arranged him to participate in this role is because he is very positive and is does not exaggerate. Before he usually plays those cheerful and jumpy characters. I don't dare to say that this is his bottom line, but I believe that after we see his performance in the series, points should be added for him."

Palace Scheme
Translation: Akazukin @ http://asianfanatics.net/forum
Source: tavia.org & shehsheh.com
Casts: Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Kevin Cheng, Tavia Yeung, Susanna Kwan, Michelle Yim, Christine Ng, Fala Chen, Wai Ying Hung
Conflicts inside the Palace
The theme is on conflicts inside the Palace, of course it would focus more on the ladies than the men. As the Emperor who has three thousands concubines in the Palace, Moses Chan enjoyed the pretty ladies for himself: “The theme is on the story inside the Palace. I believe it will be as attractive as War and Beauty. Besides the theme, the casts are also very attractive, Susanna Kwan and Michelle Yim fight from Heart of Greed to Palace Scheme. It will definitely be a good watch!”
Susanna Kwan will give her first to this series: “I believe a lot of people will look forward to my first time acting in ancient series. After the make up, I personally feel it gives off a fresh feeling. Moreover, this time some of the artistes are from Heart of Greed group. We already have the connections between us. By seeing the title of the series, we already know that it will be about conflicts and competition in the Palace, with the theme on fighting for higher status. Actually, in recent years, there are less ancient series on this theme. I believe audience will definitely like it.”
(Caption 2: The two ancient beauties, Charmaine Sheh and Tavia Yeung, have beautiful costumes in the series)
(Caption 3: Michelle Yim’s acting in villain role has been well-received. This time, her role in Palace Scheme will be challenging.)
(Caption 4: Susanna Kwan’s first ancient costume looks suitable.)
Series Attraction
The setting is on Dynasty Tang Palace, illustrating the scheming heart of ladies. Main character Lau Sam Ho, relying on her “Three Good” spirit (Good Heart, Good Speech, Good Work), managed to succeed in the complicated conflicts in the Palace.
Story Synopsis
Sam Ho and Yi were actually a pair of good friends who treated each other as sisters in the Palace. As lowly maids, they received bad treatments. At that time, the Palace has four high-ranked officers, including Food and Beverages Controller, Garments Controller, Furnishings Controller and Jewellery Controller. In order to be promoted into a higher position, the four often fight endlessly. The innocent Yi and Sam Ho became the scapegoat.
Regardless of how much suffering she has, Sam Ho persists on her Three Good spirit as a method of surviving. However, Yi who has suffered a lot decides to seek revenge. Once, during serving the Emperor, she surreptitiously seduced the Emperor and succeeded in becoming high-ranked Concubine. Sam Ho succeeded to gain the highest post of the female officers with her own talents and efforts. When the two held the power simultaneously, their sisterhood starts to break. It turns out that both of them have feelings for the same Palace Guard at the same time. Yi wanted to punish the four officers, but Sam Ho insisted on repaying trespasses with kindness and insisted on saving the four. Yi used this chance to scheme against Sam Ho

However, HO discovers that CHO commits adultery with her best friend YAN HUNG (Yim, Michelle) and she breaks up with him miserably. HO brings along her children KAM WING HO (Lam, Raymond), KAM WING HING (Chen Fala) and her adopted daughter SUEN HO YUET (Yeung Yi) to set up another cake shop for a living.
HUNG moves in to live with CHO and she starts playing tricks in the family. She tries pleasing her mother-in-law SHEH KWAN LAI (Lee Heung Kam) in every ways while disuniting her stepson and CHO. Outside the family, HUNG starts expanding their business rapidly and HO's younger sister CHUNG SIU SA (Kwan Kuk Ying, Susanna) is displeased. SA decides to fight for the ownership of their cake shop's brand name in court with HUNG and their relationship with HUNG further deteriorates.
Apart from the cake shop business, HO also spends a lot of efforts on her children. Her oldest son KAM WING KA (Chan Ho, Moses) is not interested in managing the cake shop at all and he indulges himself on stock trading. He also develops an entangling relationship with his cousin LO KA MEI (Tsui Tsz Shan, Kate) and YUET at the same time. On the other hand, HO's younger son WING HO takes up the role of a father in the family and he works hard all the time to earn a living. WING HO loves his childhood friend CHAU (Chung Ka Yan) whole-heartedly but CHAU is in love with the doctor LING CHI SHUN (Wong Chung Chak).
HO works hard unconditionally to strive for the well being of her family members. HUNG, on the other hand, is a very mean person who values her own benefits only. CHO is caught between the two women all the time and he feels helpless. One day, a disaster happens at the cake shop.
