Carina Lau plays treasure hunt with Tony Leung
Hong Kong screen star Carina Lau might have had a quiet 47th birthday earlier this month, but husband Tony Leung spiced up the celebration with a dose of fun '“ in the form of a treasure-hunt.
Carina shared that Tony had plenty of surprises up his sleeves and made search for her own gift this year. When asked on the present she found in their mini treasure-hunt game, she said, 'I'm very satisfied with it, especially with the card. I like hand-written cards and letters.'
In other related news, the actress attended the Asian Pacific Film Festival last night in a sexy outfit that boosts a plunging neckline which turned heads when she made her grand entrance on the red carpet.

Hong Kong actors Tony Leung and Carina Lau have been married to each other for three years but the couple has yet to have a child.
Recently, the Hong Kong media reported that Tony and Carina, in the hope of conceiving a baby,had left for New Delhi - a place where the couple had their honeymoon in 2008 -- after Tony celebrated his 49th birthday on Jun 27.
Three years ago at their honeymoon, the pair had visited His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa for the first time to receive blessings as a married couple.

Claim to F(l)ame: Their highly-anticipated wedding in Bhutan on 21 Jul was touted as one of the grandest and most lavish ever in Asian entertainment history.
The Story So Far: It took Carina and Tony 20 years to do it, but boy, was it worth the wait.
Though we weren't fortunate enough to make it to their invite list - one that included their chums singer Faye Wong, director Wong Kar Wai and former actress Lin Ching-Hsia - it was nevertheless a thrill just to read how the proceedings of Hong Kong's 'wedding of the century' went.
The 5 1/2-hour wedding ceremony at the hilltop resort of Uma Paro cost the equivalent of $6 million.
Their 100-plus guests feasted on a nine-course menu provided by the resort, a five-tier wedding cake flown in from the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and 30 bottles of champagne.
The Bhutanese royal family reportedly decked them out in traditional wedding costumes.
He/She said: In an interview with a Shanghai TV station just before the wedding, Tony said: 'Carina looks strong but is inwardly weak. I am both strong outside and inside, we match.'
Carina told Apple Daily Hong Kong before their big day: 'I will take care of my husband my whole life. Tony is a small kid, every man is a small kid.'
Next Change: Tony Leung can be seen swashbuckling away in John Woo's epic Red Cliff 2, now in theatres.
No reported upcoming projects for Carina Lau though. We figure she is likely to be enjoying her tai-tai lifestyle.

Claim to F(l)ame: On 3 Oct, Hong Kong singer-actress Kelly Chen sealed her 16-year courtship with businessman Alex Lau in a multimillion-dollar wedding at the InterContinental Hotel.
The Story So Far: In the world of Hong Kong entertainment, where the paparazzi behave like wild horses on the loose, it's amazing how Kelly Chen had always managed to be evasive and tight-lipped about her rumoured beau.
But in June, during her concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Kelly sprang a surprise on her fans.
She announced: 'It's my last show here before the Coliseum undergoes renovation, and it feels like I have just completed a huge mission... but, I have an even bigger mission - to get married.'
Alex, who runs a business manufacturing silk flowers, had proposed with a six-carat ring.
On the wedding day, Kelly looked like a glowing princess, wearing a specially-designed gown with a 10m-long train that trailed down the ballroom stairs, decorated with 999 hand-made cloth peonies, matched by a 15m veil.

In Sang Woo's case, it was the opposite.
When he first announced that he would marry beauty queen-turned-actress Tae Young, instead of giving their blessings, some fans wondered if she is 'good enough' for him.
They voiced concerns that the marriage would dent his raging popularity with a largely female fan base.
Also, they gossiped about Tae Young's bountiful dating history, questioning her commitment to Sang Woo, for she was notorious as a playgirl, having been previously linked to a string of male celebrities.

Tony Leung Pulls No Punches
Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu Wai may have just gotten married, but instead of basking in newly-wedded bliss, his recent preoccupation has been with fighting.
At a press conference with some 300 Chinese and Asia-Pacific media members to launch Montblanc’s latest luxury chronograph watch on Nov 7, the multi-award-winning actor said he has been pulling eight-hour days working out for his role as Bruce Lee’s martial arts teacher.
Grandmaster Yip Man popularised the Wing Chun style of gongfu, and his biopic by director Wong Kar Wai will begin filming next autumn.
Leung, 46, added in Mandarin: “Making an action film requires you to have a certain physique, so I have to at least convince myself that I am a very good fighter.”
Asked why pre-production for the film has dragged on for about six years, the actor, who is Wong’s favourite leading man and firm friend, said: “Each time we wanted to start doing it, I was committed to another role. But now, I’ve stopped taking on new films, turning down some 10 projects. I want to concentrate on this.”Looking dapper in a black leather jacket-and-tie ensemble, he answered previously screened questions posed by an emcee onstage with his usual quiet serenity.
But Hong Kong’s tabloid writers perked up when the actor stated innocuously that he was planning to go on a ski holiday with friends later this year.
Scribes later interpreted this as a sign that his actress wife Carina Lau was not pregnant as previously rumoured.
The self-confessed perfectionist modestly said he does not feel he has made any masterpieces in his career.
However, he does not mind being a producer of or endorsing works by young, emerging talent.
But there is a caveat.
“Being an actor takes a lifetime. You can’t do everything at once,” he said.
Also present at the event was South Korean pop idol Rain, who was dressed in a grey suit and T-shirt, and sporting a sleek red hairdo.
In a separate chat through an interpreter, the lanky singer-actor, 26, told the emcee that he would buy a watch like Montblanc’s latest model to reward himself for working so hard, adding that he spent most of his time attending meetings.
When pressed, he admitted he would also get it for his fiancee – if he has one.
His ideal woman? “I like girls who are kawaii-style (cute in Japanese), innocent and pure.”

Some say that women who touch the bed would bear sons, and it has attracted many couples who hoped to conceive.

Miriam was invited to Hunan TV to record a show. The host carried out three cardboards of Ronald Cheng, Daniel Wu and Tony Leung Chiu Wai and asked Miriam to pick one as her new boyfriend. Miriam picked Tony without hesitation.

Carina is not pregnant yet
Tony and Carina attended a function together as a couple for the first time since their wedding. The other night they attended a banquet dinner at Regal Airport Hotel. There have been rumors lately that Carina is pregnant. That evening she was wearing a very tight fit black top and leather trousers. She didn't look pregnant at all. That proved it was only a rumor that she was expecting. Carina took pictures with host 羅旭瑞 and 羅寶雯. When reporters called out Mr. Mrs. Leung, Carina had a smile on her face. Alan Mak and Felix Chong (Infernal Affairs 無間道, Initial D 頭文字 D, Confession of Pain 傷城) present Lady Cop & Papa Crook 大搜查之女, starring Sammi Cheng and Eason Chan. The film marks Sammi Cheng's return to acting in two years (Lady Cop & Papa Crook was filmed in 2007) and is expected to be released in theaters on September 11, 2008.
The near two-minute trailer was released on August 1, 2008, and as seen, the fast paced clips and rich appealing background music displays a sense of suspense and tension. Also seen is the complicated storyline that gives the actors an expanded area for acting interpretation. Eason gives up his comedic side for internal emotions and Sammi delivers an explosive performance. It seems that Sammi's two year break enabled her acting to "explode" to a new level. Some of the supporting actors also shine with impressive performances; and with some camera angles reminiscent of Infernal Affairs there's no second guessing that this film is from the minds of Alan Mak and Felix Chong. The two directors also reveal that the suit Sammi wears in the film is custom-made and modeled after the suit Andy Lau wears in Infernal Affairs.
As for Sammi's performance, the two directors feel that she is the role model for the current generation's white-collared women, her music and movies are topics of discussion for modern women, and that is exactly what her role calls for. Also, the two directors feel that Eason's past roles are "Siu Ji" (小子) roles, but they feel Eason can play roles of "Siu Sung" (小生), like those of Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Andy Lau. During filming, the two directors taught him to use Tony Leung's method of acting, bringing out a new Eason for the audience to view. It is noted, when filming concluded the two directors took various clips to show industry friends and the response was, "[I've] never seen such a charming Eason."
Elsewhere, the trailer shows one clip of Zhang Guo Li 張國立. Zhang Guo Li has never participated in a Hong Kong film and this film was an "exception" for him. One wonders if this film will mark his entering into the Hong Kong film industry.

As for Sammi's performance, the two directors feel that she is the role model for the current generation's white-collared women, her music and movies are topics of discussion for modern women, and that is exactly what her role calls for. Also, the two directors feel that Eason's past roles are "Siu Ji" (小子) roles, but they feel Eason can play roles of "Siu Sung" (小生), like those of Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Andy Lau. Tony Leung and Carina Lau will get married today in Bhutan under the arrangements and assistance by the Royal Family of Bhutan. They broke the traditions and used the royal palace's sleeping room as a background of their wedding photographs. The prince and his wife of Bhutan have also helped the newly weds put on the traditional royal attires of Bhutan. The royal families' help is down to the very last detail. After Tony and Carina have arrived to Bhutan,they hurried to shoot their wedding photographs. Tony Leung and Carina Lau gets married - July 20, 2008
Tony Leung and Carina Lau will get married today in Bhutan under the arrangements and assistance by the Royal Family of Bhutan. They broke the traditions and used the royal palace's sleeping room as a background of their wedding photographs. The prince and his wife of Bhutan have also helped the newly weds put on the traditional royal attires of Bhutan. The royal families' help is down to the very last detail. Tony Leung and Carina Lau sure have gotten alot of prestiges!
The Royal Family assisted their preparation of the wedding
After Tony and Carina have arrived to Bhutan,they hurried to shoot their wedding photographs. Not only did the royal family gave assistance in all ways,they even specially lent them their palace for the wedding photographs! The prince and his wife had even personally helped Tony and Carina to put on the royal attires. In one of the photographs,Carina Lau was wearing the royal attire and holding flowers in her hands. Auspicious Jade pieces were worn on her right hand. Tony wore the men's royal robe. It is said that the robe that Tony had wore was being worn by the prince when he got married, and Carina's attire was also worn by one of the consorts before. The royal family had thought that is is fate that Tony and Carina chose their place for the location of the wedding,so they provided unconditional assistance to them,to hope that they have a successful marriage and last forever.
Of all places,Why Bhutan?
Tony and Carina were very grateful to the treatments they received from the royal family. Carina had disclosed that she had already agreed with Tony since last year that their wedding will be the 21st of July.The decision to have their wedding in Bhutan was only decided 3 months ago. Carina said "We have thought of many locations to hold our marriage.France,Florence,Paris,Japan and SouthEast Asia have been thought of,but it seems that something is lacking,until we found Bhutan. The both of us thought that this is the ideal place to hold our marriage."
Carina also said that she first know about Bhutan about 10 years ago and never thought that she start her next part of life there. She was attracted by the city as it has no pollutions. Being a devoted Buddhist,she said that staying in Bhutan these past few days have made her realize that happiness does not come from a matter,or wealth. True happiness is the contended in the mind,hence,Carina decided to hold her wedding in this "Happy Kingdom" of Bhutan

Where is Eric Tsang?
Eric Tsang could not appear the wedding as he was hosting the Miss Hong Kong beauty pageant and have a job later. Being unable to attend the wedding,he said "Its so bad!" It was Eric that introduced the Bhutan Prince to Carina,Eric said that the Price will arrange and organise the wedding in the highest honor and glory. "When i knew that Carina decided to get married in Bhutan,i immediately called the prince. Its a coincidence that the Prince was in Hong Kong,so i arrange him to meet with Carina and Tony." (What gifts have you prepared for the newly weds?) "I requested the prince to arrange,to have a surprise for the couples...hmm..maybe asking a thousand monks to pray for them!" The make up artiste , ZING,will be doing make up for Carina for the wedding. He disclosed that he would use the wetlook makeup for Carina. He said "The feeling of having a wet and shiny face in the morning,may not be beautiful. However it is the most important that she looked FRESH!"
Cecilia won't "tease" and play the bride
Cecilia Yip was present at the Farewell Singlehood party yesterday. The newly weds thanked the family and friends for take time to travel Bhutan for their wedding.
Cecilia Yip revealed that the wedding today will be divided to 2 sections. In the afternoon,there will be monks to host the wedding ceremonies of the couples and the dinner party will be taking place in the night. The hosts asked the guest to prepare 2 sets of clothes at night. The bride will be having 5 sets of clothes for the dinner party. Asked Cecilia if she would tease the bride,she laughs and said "I am an adult,so i don't? The guests are all mature,so the wedding should only have a warm and emotional scene."
