Benny Chan has yet to donate

The Hong Kong actor previously promised to make a monetary donation to atone for his mistake, in exchange for actress Rose Chan's master's forgiveness

Last month, it was reported that Hong Kong actor Benny Chan showed improper behaviour towards 19-year-old actress Rose Chan, when they were filming in Hengdian, China.

After the report and photos were published, Rose's master Master Sin Kwok Lim initially wanted to file a police report against Benny.

However, realising the severity of the situation, Benny and his wife Lisa Chiang quickly held a press conference, but to no avail. Earlier this month, the actor then published a public apology in various major newspapers in Hong Kong and China.

Benny also promised to donate to the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, finally earning Master Sin's forgiveness.

However, when Josephine Siao -- veteran actress and founder of the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation -- was questioned about Benny's donation at a recent event, she said, "I've been waiting for someone to ask me about this. I heard that the media had placed him under tremendous pressure."

"We welcome any donation from kind souls. In truth, there are many perpetrators who have not been caught. If each of them makes a donation, we'll be rich. I hope Benny can help to drive this moment," she added, when probed if the foundation had received the actor's donation.

After the event, reporters checked with the spokesperson of the foundation, who revealed that they had yet to receive Benny's donation. While the actor had not contacted them, they are not giving him a deadline for the donation.

Benny, who is in Hengdian, claimed that it was a matter of time before he donates.

"If it's not tomorrow, then it's the day after tomorrow. I said I'll donate, and that means I will. Do you think I'm still a child?" the actor said. However, he did not say how much he will be donating.
