Hong Kong actor Ricky Hui passed away due to a heart attack on Tuesday.
Even though he was still in mourning for Ricky's passing, brother Michael Hui, who was spotted having a swim yesterday, accepted an interview when he was approached by the media.
When asked about his thoughts on the sudden death of Ricky, the veteran actor was unable to contain his sadness.
Fighting back tears, the actor replied, "[I'm] very sad! I really loved my brother and would always find ways to make him happy."
"When Sam (Ricky's brother) held his concert in Guangzhou, it was Ricky's birthday. Together with thousands of the audience, we sang him a birthday song. That was the first and last time [we did that]. I had never sung him any birthday songs before," Michael added.
Speaking on Ricky's heart condition, he said, "The doctors said that his heartbeat is abnormal and so he had a cardiac pacemaker installed about three years ago. On Monday, Ricky complained of back pain and the doctors had suspected then that it might be related to his heart condition. He was supposed to go to the hospital [on that day] but had insisted on going the next day (on the day he died) instead."
Telling on the first moment when he saw that Ricky had died, Michael described, "He was lying on the bed with a foot dangling. He must have been feeling unwell and could not reach his medication in time [before the heart attack]."
When asked if he had met Ricky's girlfriend, Michael said, "I have never met her. In the past 10 years, there were talks that he had a girlfriend but I have never once met her."
