The Hong Kong actress claims rumoured new love is just a classmate
Last week, Hong Kong actress Shirley Yeung ended her nine-year relationship with actor Gregory Lee abruptly.
Then, it was rumoured that the actress had been secretly dating her rich ex-classmate, and is currently two months pregnant with his child.
Yesterday, a Hong Kong tabloid reported that Shirley's spending habits were hints that she had a new man in her life. Earlier this year, the actress, who used to live off Gregory, suddenly spent millions on acquiring a property and visited Gregory only once or twice a month.
An insider revealed that Shirley's new love would visit her every month. Sometimes, he would even hang out with Shirley's elder brother, "like they are a family". Gregory was never seen with them.
The magazine also published a picture -- taken during an outing with Shirley's family - which showed a smart-looking, broad-shouldered guy, who looked almost the same age as the actress. It was speculated that the man was Shirley's new beau Andy.
Shirley, who has been laying low after her breakup announcement, finally broke her silence and stood up for the guy. She claimed that the person in the picture was not her "new found love", but a classmate who was very close to her family.
When asked if the guy is attached, Shirley refused to comment and emphasised that "he's not [the new guy in her life]".
The actress also refused to comment on her pregnancy rumours.
