Cecilia Cheung's eldest son to adopt her surname?

It was also rumoured that the Hong Kong actress refused to let her son go to school

Now that it is confirmed that Hong Kong celebrity couple Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung will divorce, the spotlight shifts to the couple's impending fight for their children's custody.

It was rumoured that Nicholas would be returning to Hong Kong on July 8, and would give Cecilia HKD$200 million (S$30 million) in exchange for custody of his sons.

The actor also wanted his son Lucas to start school soon.

It is believed that four-year-old Lucas began studies at a nursery last year and would be qualified for entry into an international school this September. However, the child missed an entrance interview with the school because Cecilia had taken Lucas to filming with her.

"Nicholas arranged for an interview through his contacts. However, Cecilia took Lucas to filming, causing the child to miss the interview. Nicholas is bound to deal with the problem when he comes back from Malaysia," an insider said.

He added that Nicholas intends to lessen his work load, in order to take care of his sons personally and not rely on his mother Deborah Li.

However, according to a Hong Kong magazine, Cecilia has rejected Nicholas's suggestion of allowing Lucas to start school.

An "adviser" from Cecilia's camp even told her to let Lucas adopt her surname once she received custody of the child.

During an imaging session for a new movie in Ningbo, China, a reporter probed if Lucas was going to adopt her surname, the actress replied, "Thanks!"

Nicholas's manager Mani Fok said that they would not comment on anything related to the child's surname.
