When news broke that Hong Kong singer Karen Mok is tying the knot with her first love in Oct, netizens were quick to point out that her fiancé, a German man by the name of Johannes, has three children from a previous marriage.
Some even went as far as digging up an old tabloid report that implied that Johannes was gay.
Mok laughed off the gay claim. “There’s no such thing. It’s just a rumour,” she said.
Though looked slightly taken aback by the questions raised by the media, Mok, 41, said that she doesn’t mind being stepmom to Johannes’ kids.
“His eldest daughter is about to enter university soon. We get along so well that we can almost wear each other’s clothes!” said a beaming Mok.
Amidst the rumours and speculations that are going around, many – among them, her former flame Stephen Fung – sent their blessings to the bride-to-be.
“I wish my good friend nothing but happiness and I hope she will have babies soon!” Fung wrote on Weibo.

Karen Mok to wed in October: Ex-lover Stephen Fung gave his blessings to the singer who will be marrying her first love
After bagging the award for 'Best Female Mandarin Singer' at the 22nd Golden Melody Awards, singer Karen Mok shocked the audience by announcing her plans to get married.
The singer said, "The best way to celebrate my big win is to get married by the end of the year. I'm not joking. During my last time here (in Taiwan), I mentioned that it was about time I get married. So, I'm telling everyone now that, I will be getting married at the end of the year. And, the coolest thing is, I will be marrying my first love, whom I met when I was 17."
At the after party, Karen told the media, "When the time comes, and when you meet the right person, it's time to get married!"
The newly-crowned Best Female Mandarin Singer also revealed that her wedding will be held at a church near Florence, Italy.
Karen and Johannes, her first love, reconciled after a school reunion less than a year ago.
When asked about the proposal, Karen sweetly explained, "We were on a trip when he suddenly took out a diamond ring. I said yes without hesitating."
Karen too shared their love life with the media, saying that they have been travelling between Hong Kong and Germany, and they are currently looking for the perfect wedding gown.
With their marriage, Karen will be stepmother to Johannes' children. When asked about their relationship, she said, "We are just like friends. Moreover, his children are all grown up now, and I am a kid myself too!"
In response to Karen's wedding announcement, former lover Stephen Fung wrote on his microblog, "I'm really happy to hear that Karen has won the Best Female Mandarin Singer title and her wedding announcement too! Her hard work has finally paid off after all these years of hard work. I wish her happiness and hopes that she has babies soon."
