While the rumors of the group of TVB artistes fighting over the awards are very rife, as one of the A-listed actresses, Myolie Wu chose to remain away from the fight, and instead, concentrated on the preparation of her second album.
In 2008, Myolie Wu branched out into both singing and acting. After gaining positive feedback for her debut EP, Evolve, last year, she decided to immediately capitalize on the situation this year, and reduced her drama serials to concentrate on recording songs. In order to give a refreshing feeling to her fans, Myolie decided to break out from her sexiness limit. According to sources, Myolie's new album, Love Holic, which will be released on 23rd November, initially planned to use the half-naked photo as the album cover. But the music company did not want the focus to be on Myolie's body figure, thus they decided to add in some graphics on her arm.



Getting More Comfortable During The Photo-Shoot
Myolie Wu, whose image has always been goody-two-shoe, has often been wearing conservatively in TV dramas, and seldom appears in sexy outfits. But Myolie, who's turning 30 and stepping into the 10th year of being in this industry, decided to have a breakthrough this time. In order to push up album sales, she did not mind posing half-naked for the album cover photo-shoot. The reason why Myolie's so daring this time is because of her spontaneousness. "Initially, I didn't think of posing half-naked. But on that day, I was discussing with the photographer, and suddenly, I suggested to have a more daring approach! I myself have not tried being so sexy before too. Hope that I can bring a refreshing feeling to the listeners with my new album. So I took a half-naked photo to make the love theme in the new album more outstanding. The music company and I were very satisfied with the final effects of the photo-shoot." For her new album, Myolie can be said to have given out her all. The photo-shoot duration took around 10 hours. Just the half-naked photo alone took up one and a half hours. But Myolie said that it was worth it. "Back then, the scene was cleared out. Only my assistant, the photographer and I were left behind. Though it was spontaneous, I still did the neccesary precautions. So I'm not afraid of any exposure parts. Initially, I was nervous, but as the photo-shoot went on, I got more comfortable, and it became more natural."

Though it might be a sacrifice for the arts, Myolie Wu is after all still an actress. Having such a sexy image, does the company know beforehand? She replied, "Before the photo-shoot, I've already communicated with the company. I told them that this time, I'll be using a sexier, more daring image. Initially, I was afraid that the company might disagree, but they really dote on me a lot. They told me to go ahead with it, as long as the effect is beautiful, then it's fine. After the company looked through the photos, they said that I look great and attractive! But I feel that sexiness should be rare, and not done repeatedly, plus I don't wish to walk down this sexiness path, so this is the only time that I'm doing this.
