Joey Yung was invited by the Central Television to attend the Spring Festival Celebration in Beijing in New Years Eve. She sang "Stand Up", the official Olympic song with Jacky Chan and Eason Chan. When Joey saw Cheng Fei, Olympic gold medalist, she took that opportunity to take a picture with her. Because Joey had to go to Beijing a week early for the reheasal, her mother also went with her so they they could spend the new Year together.
