Back in 2005, Joyce dressed up as Snow White when she attended the "Children Music Award presentation ceremony". She had received a lot of complaints. After all these years, she was invited by HK Disneyland to read the story of "Cinderella" in English in Hong Kong Central Library. She was there also to present the best "Prince" and "Princess" award. Joyce disclosed she had a bad memory of the last time when she dressed up as Snow White, therefore this time she dare not dress as Snow White again.
Joyce told the media she was very happy to be invited again by HK Disneyland. Even she had an unhappy time a few years ago, she hasn't taken it to heart this time. Joyce reckoned this type of event is very beneficial to the children. It would encourage the children's interest to read. Asked if she would dress up as Snow White again, Joyce said "I don't think so. I still have the shadow here. I don't mind if people still want to laugh at me. But that is the past and I haven't done anything wrong." Reporter asked if her mother Lydia used to read story to her. She said very rarely, but her god mother always took her out shopping. She liked going to the library rather than out playing.
Joyce will be filming a new situation drama for TVB in the middle of September. She admitted her Chinese is limited. Asked if she needs help with " Pinyin", Joyce said her Chinese has improved a lot. She understands 90% of it. Reporter asked if Daddy King (Adam Cheng) had taught her Chinese, Joyce replied " Daddy King asked me to come on ( 加油) and get on with it. But I feel the best way to learn Chinese is by reading it."
