Kevin Cheng Abseils to Save People, Using it as an Excuse to look Handsome

Yesterday, Kevin Cheng filmed "Burning Flame 3" outdoors at a vacant Huang3 Zhu2 Keng1 (a place in HK, not sure what it's called in English). He had to abseil from the 7th storey down to the 5th storey to save an AIDS patient who was in an agitated mood. As it was raining, it raised the danger of that stunt. The director did ask Kevin if he was willing to film that scene all by himself (without using any stunt doubles) & Kevin smiled & said, "Of course I would say I dared to, 'my face' is of great concern. Actually when I filmed da4 xue2 kuang2 ben1 in Australia years ago, I did try walking down from the 2nd storey while being tied to a rope. This time I would just be abseiling down from the 7th storey hence it's just child's play. In BF3 there would be a lot of fire scenes. This scene is only a start, giving me some sort of a warm up."

Earlier in the mainland, an accident occurred while filming the movie Red Cliff on board a flaming ship, resulting in many casualties. Kevin frankly said, "I know the technique & there are also so many firefighting officers here with me. I have already taken the necessary precautions. Accidents are merely accidents. (Would I be able to do it?) What I can do is to be careful while filming, to stay alert at all times & not lower one's guard. I mustn't be lazy, safety should always come first.


Deciding to buy Insurance
When asked if Kevin did buy insurance, he joked & said that he hasn't bought life insurance. If anything were to happen to him, his mother would have to safeguard her own safety. Then isn't Mrs Cheng very worried now? Kevin smiled & said, "She will know once she watches the show. By then I would already be sitting next to her, watching the show together with her."
