Janice Vidal (衛蘭) was a guest model at the Isabel Marant 2008 Spring/Summer fashion show yesterday.
Asked to comment on rumours that her manager and boss Leon Lai (黎明) has married his girlfriend Gaile Lok (樂基兒) in a secret ceremony in the Maldives this week, Janice said that she has heard about the reports, but will only believe them if Leon confirms the news to her in person.
Asked what she would buy them as a wedding gift, Janice pointed out that Leon already has whatever he wants, so she would give him something creative and maybe paint him a picture herself.
Janice said that it has been a while since she last saw Leon, which was during a music awards ceremony in Shanghai at the end of last year and added that it has also been about six months since she last saw Gaile. However, she said that she would be sending him a text message to see how he is, but she was sure he would not reply to her.
Janice then went on to say that Leon has a successful career and he has been dating Gaile for a while now, so it is only natural for them to get married and as Leon is quite an unpredictable person, then a secret wedding would not be surprising. Asked if she thought that Gaile may be pregnant, she replied that Leon would be a good husband and father because he has treated her, her sister Jill and Charles Ying (應昌佑) like his own children.
Asked about her own love life, Janice said: "I would really like a boyfriend, it has been terrible being single for five years. They are a handsome couple - why is it so difficult to find a good man in Hong Kong?" Asked if she wants a boyfriend like Leon, Janice said that she would like to find someone as clever as him, but she has given up on the looks front because she was hurt in the past by a handsome boyfriend and she finds herself quite insecure around good-looking men.
