Well-known HK actress Gigi Lai attended a watch shop opening ceremony in Ning Bo. She wore a blue dress and a fur coat, looking very elegant. The event was crowded with people, many came just to take a look at Gigi, a group of Gigi fans were holding up banners to show support for their idol. Gigi did not disappoint the crowd, she smiled happily, attending to the crowd's requests. After the ribbon cutting event, there was a lion dance performace, Gigi appeared very excited.
Twenty minutes after the ribbon cutting ceremony ended, the press conference started. Gigi denied the previous news reports about her having a boyfriend, saying that she is still waiting for her Mr. Right to appear. Last year at the TVB anniversary Gigi received the 'Mainland Audiences' Favourite Actress Award", then at Malaysia Astro awards she accepted the 'Best Actress Award" presented by her aunt. Gigi revealed last year had been a difficult year, receiving those awards made her very happy and she was grateful to her mainland fans' support. She hopes that in 2008 the audience will like her new series.
