TWIN'S SINGER: We'll take action over fake photos,

Raunchy photos of HK actor with 2 starlets show up on net

SUGGESTIVE pictures of Hong Kong star Edison Chen with two women have sparked an
online debate - are they real or fake?

The pictures are of him in various compromising positions with Twins member Gillian Chung
and retired singer-actress Bobo Chan.
Both Gillian's and Edison's representatives have condemned the uploading of the pictures and the police are investigating, reported Hong Kong papers.

The first picture, supposedly of Edison and Gillian, appeared in the adult photo section of a
Hong Kong forum site on Sunday night.
On Monday afternoon, a picture of Bobo allegedly performing a sex act on Edison was
also posted online.

INVESTIGATIONS

Edison's representative, Ms Leung, denied talk that the actor had made a police report at the Wanchai police station yesterday.

'Up to now, the company and Edison have not gone to the police. We are still discussing with our lawyers the developments of the case, so we can't comment,' she told the Hong Kong media.
But on Monday night, Edison issued a statement through his lawyer condemning the act of uploading the crude photos online as an 'irresponsible prank'.

Gillian's label, Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), also released a statement on Monday
saying that the pictures were digitally manipulated and that it would take legal action against
the perpetrator.

Apple Daily reported that EEG had filed a police report and the case was being handled by the
Hong Kong Commercial Crime Bureau's Technology Crime Division.
Meanwhile, some netizens have been so intrigued by the pictures that they are doing their own 'investigations'.

They hunted down a video clip of Edison being interviewed in his bedroom and compared
the setting with that in the pictures.
They apparently found the bedroom settings were similar, with common items such as a coat stand and bedside decorations.

Some netizens claiming to be professional photographers said the pictures were real.
However, others thought the pictures looked fake and pointed out the strange lines along the stars' necks.
Edison, 28, was linked to Gillian, 27, after they starred in Spy Dad and Twin Effects in 2003.
He was even rumoured to have fought with actor Shawn Yue overGillian.

This is not the first time Gillian has faced a 'photo crisis'.
In 2006, Hong Kong's Easy Finder published a series of pictures of her in a changing room after
a Twins concert at Genting Highlands in Malaysia.

Bobo, 29, was linked with Edison when she came onto the scene in 2000.
They were once photographed by the Hong Kong paparazzi taking a shower together in Phuket.
The couple reportedly broke up in 2004. Bobo had starred in several movies and released a few albums without much success. She retired from showbiz in 2006.

Edison was born in Vancouver and discovered in Hong Kong in 1999.
His movies include Gen-Y Cops, Infernal Affairs, Initial D and The Grudge 2. He has a cameo role
in the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight.
He was initially signed to EEG and has released several Cantonese and Mandarin albums. He left EEG and set up his own multi-media company Clot Media Division last year.

REBEL IMAGE

His appeal lies in his mischievous eyes, crooked grin, fluent English with a Canadian accent and a rebel image.
Apart from Gillian and Bobo, he has also been linked with such stars as Maggie Q, Cecilia Cheung and Stephy Tang.

In 2002, he said during a radio interview in Taiwan that he lost his virginity when he was 13 and
had his first one-night stand when he was 15.
He also told a Taiwanese magazine in 2006 that his favourite sport was 'making love'.
In a 2006 interview, he said with a chuckle: 'I like every kind of girl, it changes every day...
So I'm a very bad person, always changing.'

Last year, he announced that he had been dating Vincy Yeung, niece of EEG founder Albert Yeung, for the past three years.

Asked about the pictures, Vincy reportedly told the Hong Kong press that she didn't care about what Edison had done in the past and that she trusted him
