TVB Artistes’ Function Fees Revealed – Couple Fees and Individual Artiste Fees

Mainland China's economy is fast expanding, many TVB artistes are going to mainland to make money. Often, TVB stars attend the functions as a couple, they can easily pocket over $100,000 for one function.

Recently, TVB artistes’ function fees were revealed, the figures showed that the artistes are paid more for a mainland function than an HK function.

TVB stars appearing as a couple at functions

#1 Moses Chan & Bernice Liu

One mainland function – $250,000
One HK function - $150,000

Moses and Bernice both have healthy images, good outer appearances and are well-loved by advertisers. Bernice is TVB’s top earning artiste while Moses has been crowned TV king, the two of them often appear at functions as a couple, they can get $150,000 for attending one HK function, their fee increases to $250,000 for one mainland function.


#2 Bosco Wong & Myolie Wu

One mainland function - $200,000
One HK function - $130,000

2005's "War of In-Laws" not only made Bosco & Mylie a popular couple, it also opened up the mainland market for them. The two of them appear together at public functions nearly every week, although they can make plenty of money in HK, however, they are not so famous in mainland, therefore their job offers from mainland are limited.


#3 Raymond Lam & Linda Chung

One mainland function - $180,000
One HK function - $100,000

Raymond & Linda’s popularity skyrocketed ever since "Heart of Greed", there were even rumors that the two are dating in real life, this had brought them many commercial opportunities. During last year, they made 10 appearances in mainland, unfortunately, Linda is too busy with filming and Raymond is concentrating on his musical career, they missed out on many money-making opportunities. But nevertheless they are still popular in mainland, their mainland fee is almost double their HK fee.


Individual Artistes' Function Fees

#1 Gigi Lai

One mainland function - $300,000
One HK function - $200,000

Gigi is once again expanding in the mainland market, recently she was paid the top-notch figure of $500,000 to appear at a mainland beauty centre. In order to invite the beauty to a function, the fee cannot be less than $300,000. With her nice sister image, Gigi has a big market, it's no wonder she will be taking a year off filming so she can make some real money.


#2 Charmaine Sheh

One mainland function - $150,000
One HK function - $100,000

Charmaine's popularity has dropped during 2007, even her big production series "Drive of Life" flopped in ratings. Fortunately, Charmaine's rumored boyfriend Benny Chan is extremely popular in mainland, therefore Charmaine is still well-known in mainland and can get lots of jobs there.


#3 Bernice Liu (Her individual fee)

One mainland function - $100,000
One HK function - $60,000


#4 Moses Chan (His individual fee)

One mainland function - $70,000
One HK function - $45,000


#5 Shirley Yeung

One mainland function - $60,000
One HK function - $20,000

Although Shirley does not have the popularity of a leading actress, but she attends many night functions, even earning the title "night function queen". Just by singing a few songs at the function, Shirley can easily pocket $50,000.


#6 Fala Chan

One mainland function - $25,000
One HK function - $20,000

Last year, Fala was willing to accept the cheap fee of $10,000 to get many jobs, this ensured that she had maximum exposure and her popularity sky-rocketed. This year, Fala has doubled her function fee, unfortunately, her fame in mainland is limited, she only receives $5,000 extra for a mainland function. Once again, Fala is willing to use the cheap fee method to get more jobs.
