Ada Choi Marries Zhang Jin In Simple Ceremony

Today is Ada Choi and Zhang Jin’s big day. It is the entertainment circle’s first happy event of the year. The bride and groom wanted to do a simple and low profile wedding. This is a contrast to Ada’s million dollar birthday when she was 18 years old. She appears to have tired of the materialistic world. She is opting for a real and concrete feeling of love for the wedding instead of a luxurious and glamorous ceremony. Ada’s wedding cost about HK$100 000 because of its’ simplistic nature!Today, 34 years old Ada officially married her boyfriend of 4 years, Zhang Jin. Since the two are devout Christian, the wedding ceremony took place in a church in Sai Kung. But the two did have the traditional bride receiving ritual in the morning. The plan was to hold the bride receiving ritual at 11 in the morning. Ada’s good friends Monica Chan, Athena Chu, Jacqueline Law and others accompanied her out of the door. Then the wedding party directly went to the church for the ceremony. Over 70 friends who were part of the 「藝人之家」 (Artiste’s Family) attended the ceremony. There were over 100 guests including relatives. The new couple was very considerate in their wedding plan. The guests enjoyed a cocktail party after the formal ceremony as intermission before the dinner banquet. The dinner banquet was held at personal club owned by Ada’s friend. The banquet was attended by close relatives and Ada’s good friends. Since the theme of the wedding was to be simple, there were only five tables for the guests at the banquet. It was for close friends and relatives to enjoy. When Ada was 18 years old, she celebrated her birthday with a million dollar party right after she participated in the Miss Hong Kong pageant. It became a much-told tale in the entertainment circle. But later on, her mother was in debt and Ada had to endure trials and tribulations. Today, she is tired of the materialistic world plus is she a devout Christian so her personality changed and became a simple and easygoing person. She abandoned her over-the-top style and held a simple and plain wedding in Hong Kong. The ceremony, cocktail party, banquet and other costs totaled HK$100 000 only. Since the two are Christians, they paid around HK$3 000 to HK$5 000 for the services as a tribute to the church. But this was did not matter to them.
