Michael Tse Is Not Afraid Of Scheduling Effect On Box Office

The film TURNING POINT 2 (LAUGHING GOR ji CHIM JUI FAN) premiere took place two nights ago in Causeway Bay Jade Palace cinema. Actors Francis Ng Chun Yu, Michael Tse Tin Wa, Chapman To Man Jat, Kate Tsui Tsz Shan, Janice Man Wing Shan and others attended.

The actors toasted to the new release at the premiere. The film is slated for a release on the 29th. Lead Tin Wa said that he was not worried that the film would miss the first round of the Christmas slot. He thought that on Christmas holidays people might be busy with other matters. He thought the second round release would not affect the box office. Tin Wa said, "I only look forward to the box office getting better and better, then dinner inevitably will be my treat. However I don't need to guess how much the box office will be."

Janice in the film kissed Tse Tin Wa but through glass. She said, "I thought it was pretty special. Through glass I really didn't know how to kiss. Finally it took five or six takes." Tsui Tsz Shan dressed provocatively for the event. Janice said that her figure could not rival hers so she dressed casually. After the premiere, she thanked the director for releasing her scenes in their entirety without any edit.

Viann Zhang Met Ron Ng’s Parents; Vows to Have Children After Marriage

Thursday December 15, 2011 Hong Kong
Credits: to Jayne @ http://www.jaynestars.com

Viann Zhang (張馨予) “mistakenly” posted a bed photo of herself on Ron Ng’s (吳卓羲) Weibo blog last week and staked a very public claim as his girlfriend. Fan reactions were swift and critical, scolding her for attempting to generate publicity for herself and acting as an unreasonable girlfriend. In an interview with Oriental Daily, Viann further revealed her relationship with Ron, professing that she has met his parents and if she were to get married in the future, she hopes to have one son and one daughter!

Admitting that they had dated for more than a year, Viann praised Ron highly, “He is handsome, stylish, and a good man. He treats friends well and is a filial son, while possessing a serious attitude towards work!”

Viann noted that “checking” on her boyfriend, Ron, was an action that most couples would do in a dating relationship. Asked whether the posting of the bed photo on Weibo resulted in Ron scolding her, Viann said, “No, he explained the consequences to me. He said that this action will result in a lot of reporters following us and will affect our work, as well as the loss of freedom.” (Were you moved by Ron’s actions?) “Yes, very much. This is because I did create trouble for him!” Asked whether their relationship has improved, Viann replied, “We will have to see what Heaven arranges.”

Yesterday Charmaine Sheh attended the news conference of skincare brand 'Perfect Shape' for their entry into the stock market. When speaking of the editor (Chow Yuk Ming) for her series When Heaven Burns, upset about the production having to make way for the TVB Anniversary Awards show and Curse of the Royal Harem finale, forcing the series to stop broadcasting for two days (4 days including weekend), Charmaine said: "I haven't read the article, but a 4 day break is indeed a long wait for audience, but that is TVB's arrangements, I cannot intervene. (Being neglected?) No, we have promotions too. (Disadvantage not being a TVB daughter?) Need to ask TVB, not sure! But, I'm very happy to be part of this series, such a good script. I personally really like my role and hope audience will continue to support."

Viann Zhang controls Ron Ng's life, forces him to post whereabouts on Weibo

Friday December 9, 2011 Hong Kong
Source: Oriental Daily
Translated by aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/

Ron Ng and Viann Zhang's romance is like a chain of drama series. Following the 'Sneak Weibo post' (TN: Chinese title sounds like Lives of Omission) and the 'Don't Blame Her' (TN: Ron's old song), it turns out behind the scenes it's like My Sassy Girl (TN: Korean drama). According to the inside news exposed by radio host Angela Au yesterday, Viann's sassy behavior is endless that is really disappointing. She is very strict towards Ron and under her 'discipline', he was asked to hand over his Weibo password, allowing her sneak in posts on his Weibo. Not only that, she controls his personal life and stops 'HK girls' from getting near her boyfriend.

Although Ron is already in a controlling relationship with Viann with "no freedom, lost of freedom", she does not give up just yet. Even if Ron is away from her, she wants Ron to publicly report his whereabouts in order to control him all day, everyday and prevent any 'accidents'. What happens is whenever Viann mentions "Where are you?" and "What are you doing?" on whatsapp, Ron will have immediately answer her and even has to take a photo of what he's doing at that time, post it on Weibo and prove to her that he isn't lying. Angela Au said: "If he said he's eating sushi with friends, he will have to immediately take a picture of the sushi and share it on Weibo, to prove he isn't lying." What is most shocking is Ron, who had always had the impression that he has a casual personality, did not resist and appeared to be totally willing to be controlled.

Ron Ng’s girlfriend rumoured to have posted photo for revenge

The Chinese actress's action was said to be an attempt to get back at her beau for being too close to actress Kate Tsui

Talk about staking your territory.

Ron Ng's girlfriend Zhang Xinyu was recently suspected of uploading a photo of herself on the actor's microblog at around 1am on Dec 7.

According to the Hong Kong media, Xinyu may have been prompted to do to quell any rumours of a blossoming romance between Ron and fellow actress Kate Tsui. The actor was spotted wearing couple rings with fellow actress Kate Tsui.

In response, Xinyu posted pictures of Ron and her wearing matching couple tees and declare that she and Ron also share a pair matching rings.

At the annual TVB awards days ago, Ron and Kate appeared on the show as a pair of on-screen couple, which was said to have enraged Xinyu, causing her to post a photo of her in bed on Ron's microblog.

However, this move might just have backfired on her.

Kate Tsui loses voice, Ron Ng help with her lines

Thursday October 13, 2011 Hong Kong

Translated by: aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/

We are seeing less and less TVB FaDans and in reaction to this, TVB executives have already started promoting the second line of FaDans. Kate Tsui was fortunate to be one of the heavily promoted actresses this year. The year hasn't even ended yet and she has already had 5 series broadcast, her exposure rate is over the top. However, behind the success, Kate's health is getting worse by the day.

Kate has been a police officer 5 times already, this time in new series Forensic Heroes III, she is finally promoted to OCTB's Senior Inspector. Kate laughed and said the crew would shoot on the mountain top so often, there was a time she thought she was shooting a costume drama instead. However, at the time she was shooting two series simultaneously, so on camera she may look hot, but off cameras, she was suffering from illnesses. Kate said: "From the start, I already had a waist injury, the doctor said my the disk on my lower backbone was shifting. I didn't even know I had an accident and along with my old injuries, I had to go get acupuncture. It was a very difficult period for me. The makeup room is far from the studio, there was a time I had to crawl my way and with heels on!"

When her condition on the waist was getting better, she falls ill again and gets a hoarse voice. Since she cannot drag on the filming progress, Kate took her hoarse voice with her and continued to shoot. Fortunately her good partner Ron Ng was willing to help her with her lines. She laughed: "He really is a good buddy. He saw how I had a man voice and getting off tune when I talked, although he did laugh at me, but he still went to discuss with the director about accommodating me, so I don't have to talk as much. So, viewers out there if you happen to catch this part, please forgive me."

Did Ron Ng's girlfriend cheat on him?

TVB actor Ron Ng was previously reported to be dating 24-year-old Chinese actress Zhang Xinyu.

Ron was spotted picking up the actress at the airport and had also scolded his fans when they verbally attacked his girlfriend online, indirectly confirming that the couple was seeing each other.

However, earlier this month, Xinyu reportedly two-timed Ron with Hong Kong actor Alex Fong.

The actress is currently shooting her new drama in Beijing and could not meet up with Ron regularly.

She lamented on her microblog that she had to wait for someone to say 'good night' to her every night before she goes to bed. The actress added, "Perhaps one day, I might not have to wait for that "Good night" anymore", as if giving her boyfriend an ultimatum.

Xinyu was also spotted getting cosy with Alex during filming and had even met up with the actor secretly.

Last week, the pair met at a coffee house, where a couple of friends joined them. The pair sat side by side, looking much like a couple. Alex took good care of the actress and frequently whispered into her ear.

It was said that Ron, who completed his filming on Wednesday, rushed to Beijing the next day, after hearing about the gossip. He went straight to Xinyu's house.

The actress, who was then secretly meeting Alex at a place nearby, rushed home immediately, when she learned of her beau's sudden arrival.

Ron Ng in a chicken suit for new sitcom "Queen of the Office"

Translated by: aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/

TVB's new sitcom "Queen of the Office" was filming a shopping mall scene yesterday in Yuen Long. The scene spoke about Liza Wang, Denise Ho, Ron Ng and Koni Lui disguising themselves as different things for promotions at a shopping mall. Among the group, Liza appeared as the most normal Queen look. Denise was disguised as "Princess Cheung Ping", Ron Ng dropped his Siu Sung image and was in a chicken suit. Ron said: "Actually I was originally going to be a horse, but maybe because we couldn't find the right costume, so after discussion, it was decided on the chicken." Coincidentally Josie Ho cursed chickens? "It is just a theme, I'm not a body pillow. I'm just like a doll for Chapman To, Joel Chan and Lu Yuan Yin to hug on."

Denise said that this time being an anicent Princess, after work she will go to the park in Kowloon to take pictures for memories. She laughed: "The Producer is so daring, not afraid that the TV ratings would bomb. But after seeing everyone reactions, I know that Hong Kong people really like weird looking characters." The other day Koni was involved in a minor car accident, yesterday she came back bandaged up to continue filming. She expressed that rumored boyfriend Dick Wong did call her to ask if she's alright, but she won't be asking him to drive her around because they are both very busy.

Ron and Sammul appeared in "Laughing gor apostasy" for free

Michael Tse was filming "Laughing Gor of apostasy" in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday. Ron Ng and Sammul Chan were acting as police officers who were trying to give Michael a parking ticket in the street. Michael called up over 10 of his gang to threaten the policemen. He was very cheeky to the two, even recorded the incidence, threatening the two, saying he would put the recording in the internet if the two continued to make trouble for him. When Michael left the scene with his gang, he was seen throwing his lucky 5 dollar coin up and down.

Ron and Sammul only worked on that scene for one day, they expressed that they were bullied by Michael. Asked if they were paid to do that part, they replied "No, we support the Hong Kong film industry, payment is not important to us as long as we are happy." Ron said he didn't know he had a part in it originally, he only got the notice few days ago. Reporter asked whether he thought his part was too small, Ron said that was good enough. Ron and Sammul expressed their wishes to work with Anthony Wong so that they might learn something from him, but it was a pity they missed that chance.

When Michael was filming that day, he attracted a lot of onlookers who wanted to take pictures with him. He said that scene was the ending part. The reporter asked how come he didn't disclose that Ron and Sammul were in fact Chung Lap Man and Lee Pak Kiu from "EU"? Michael replied "This is because the timing was not right, we don't want to confuse the audience. They wore the police uniform, they do look like the police in EU, but we want to let the audience to have their own imagination" Asked if he felt the part the two played was small? Michael said the film is only 2 hours long, that depends what people meant by small part. Some people has a part only lasted for a few seconds in a film, timing is not that important sometimes.

Talking about Anthony Wong complained about the mess up on the filming schedule. Michael told the reporter to ask Anthony himself as he goes to work everyday when he gets his notice, he doesn't know if there is any mess up. There were reports that Anthohy and Francis Ng received payment of 1,200,000 HKD each, even though Michael is the lead actor, he only gets 100,000HKD. Michael smiled "Some reported 1,200,000 and others said 2,000,000, I wonder if anyone gets 8 figure sum. In fact, the fees are confidential, it is not easy for people to find out." The reporter went on to ask if he is worried that there is a big discrepancy between his fee and Anthony's? Michael said "I am happy to say that at least they didn't report that I only get 500 dollars." Michael said he dared not ask how much Anthony's fee is because it is not important. He felt the media is using it as a gossip topic and he is happy for what he gets.

Ron Ng:No longer a blank piece of paper and acting has improved- Being the second son has allowed him to learn a lot from his seniors

Translated by: Sammy@ronforever.com
Source: Singpao
Date: Friday, 29th May 2009

Rosy Business has been the centre of attention and tonight it will air the finale. Apart from Wayne Lai, Sheren Tang and Pierre Ngo there is also Ron Ng who you cant neglect. Even though Ron’s character hasn’t been eye catching he has a lot of scenes with Sheren. Ron said Sheren has given him many tips on his filming whilst filming together and he has benefited a lot from it.

Ron’s two series E.U. and Rosy Business have had high ratings but the roles which have left a deep impression on the audience haven’t been him. Like in E.U. the spotlight was on Laughing and it was the same with Rosy as well. Asked whether Ron felt any disappointment, He said “I actually am not disappointed because when a series receives good ratings it is something to celebrate about. Actually before we started filming, we already knew that Wayne’s character would be a big hit and also in E.U. Michael Miu and I knew Michael Tse’s would as well.” Asked about his acting improving he laughed “Maybe it’s because I’m working with seniors I’ve never worked with before and they have helped me grasp things a lot quicker. I use to be a blank piece of paper and everyone thought I could only act as an aggressive and wooden character so my character in Rosy has shown a different side of me. I have always changed quickly over time and sometimes when filming I will spend a lot more time understanding the script.

In both series Ron has acted two different characters. In E.U. Ron was Chung Lap Man who was an undercover cop and had a lot of ‘inside’ scenes. In Rosy he is a good boy and also a second ‘Siu Yie’. Ron said that when he was filming he was given lots of tips from the seniors and so everyone helps each other out which is why filming is so much fun. Also, he really gets inside the character and thus believes that this time he has been able to be a good supporting actor. The reason being is that Sheren and Ron have a lot of scenes together and whatever she can’t do Ron would do for her. He doesn’t mind because each character is unique in its own way. Ron believes that filming isn’t for yourself, it is for the series.

Filming in Mainland didn’t mean he was fired

All these years ever since Triumph in the Skies, his character Issac has increased his popularity. But after that, there was a lot of negative news so he went to Mainland China to film and there were rumours that he had been released by the company. He expressed that there was no such incident. ‘If the company wanted to put you aside, they wouldn’t send you all the way to China.’ Last year he went to film Life and Death which has allowed him to learn more about acting and upon returning to Hong Kong it has helped him a lot. Also in Mainland China, there is little entertainment news so it has allowed him to study the script further.

Second son has a happy ending

Asked about Tonight’s finale Ron was very open and said to everyone “The family does split but I have a happy ending but it isn’t a big re-union or anything as the ending will be an unforgettable one because no matter whether you’re a good or a fading person you will die”.
