Talk about staking your territory.
Ron Ng's girlfriend Zhang Xinyu was recently suspected of uploading a photo of herself on the actor's microblog at around 1am on Dec 7.
According to the Hong Kong media, Xinyu may have been prompted to do to quell any rumours of a blossoming romance between Ron and fellow actress Kate Tsui. The actor was spotted wearing couple rings with fellow actress Kate Tsui.
In response, Xinyu posted pictures of Ron and her wearing matching couple tees and declare that she and Ron also share a pair matching rings.
At the annual TVB awards days ago, Ron and Kate appeared on the show as a pair of on-screen couple, which was said to have enraged Xinyu, causing her to post a photo of her in bed on Ron's microblog.
However, this move might just have backfired on her.
Two nights ago, Ron attended his best friend Toby Leung's wedding and partied with the newlyweds till late, not knowing that the photo was posted on his microblog.
The actor only realised what happened four hours after the photo was widely circulated. He then deleted the post.
Ron and Xinyu -- who were originally scheduled to appear at the dance rehearsal of TVB's new drama Prominent Family in Hong Kong and the movie premiere of No Liar, No Cry respectively in Beijing -- did not turn up.
Ron was said to be so shocked by the photo incident, that he skipped the event, saying that he was sick. Xinyu claimed that she is staying in Shenzhen, because of the heavy fog in Beijing.
When reporters contacted Xinyu yesterday, the model expressed, "I don't wish to comment on this at the moment."The model then hung up immediately, when asked if she was the one behind the "photo leak".
TVB senior executive Virginia Lok expressed that she understood that Ron's microblog had been hacked.
"It's very simple. Miss Zhang (Xinyu) might be unhappy because Ron went to Toby's wedding party and wanted people to pay her more attention. Many people know the password to Ron's account actually," she said.
