Chapman To gives his wife a suitcase for her birthday

Chapman To Man Jat was busy with the Emperor new film DIVA but two nights ago still celebrated his wife Krystal Tin Yui Nei's birthday with her friends Fiona Sit Hoi Kei, Leila Tong Ning and Stephanie Che Yuen Yuen. Their friends brought out of a photo of them together from a birthday ten years ago. Ah Tin thanked her friends with a goodbye kiss.

Although Ah Tin said that she did not need a birthday gift, Ah To still took a suitcase from the trunk of his car and said that it was suitable for her to use for work.

Speaking of DIVA, which will officially start produciton early next month, Ah Jat has already locked down Joey Yung Cho Yi and Hu Ge as the leads. As the producer he would play Joey's manager and he was looking for a female new comer. He thanked Emperor for giving him a lot of freedom in casting.

Lady Cop, Papa Crook' will be having its first meet with audience in Beijing on 28th following its premier in Hong Kong last Saturday. Although both Eason Chan and Sammi Cheng could not make it to the event, female cast Michelle Ye was present in top brand sponsored attire, a red top which allowed her to become the focus of attention at set. Countless fans from nationwide also especially travelled to meet with their idol and show their support.

The meet are inclusive of Michelle Ye, Chapman To, as well as Director Alan Mak. Although the weather was chilly, everyone's mood was high, especially upon seeing their fans' support, all actors expressed their utmost gratitude.

As one of the main casts in LCPC, Michelle Ye was exceptionally popular, her name was heard to be screamed everywhere she went within the venue. Michelle Ye is very happy to have earned recognition from directors and casts as well as audience, yet remained simply humble. She expressed her utmost gratitude towards Director Alan Mak and Felix Chong for giving her such good opportunities, where her debut in movie industry, 'Moonlight in Tokyo' was in fact a Mak-Chong collaboration too. She was then requested to go onscreen without make up, the plain face and simplicity allowed audience to immediately remember her performance, and thus recognized her first big screen performance, and was then nominated as best newcomer at Hong Kong Golden Horse awards. Now in LCPC, Michelle is once again working with the two renowned directors, it is really a rare mutual understanding and trust they share between them

Chapman To: Haven’t Owed Money in 15 Years; Rumoured to be Property Owner Despite Owing HK$10 Millions

Chapman To allegedly owes HK$10 millions and still owns real estate property. He and his wife Kristal Tin is moving from a large property to a small property which indicates their financial predicament.

Yesterday, a magazine article pointed out that Chapman owes Peter Lam and Alfred Yeung a combined total of HK$9 million. Luckily, Andy Lau is forgetting about past bygones and lent Chapman HK$1 million to help with the financial woes. Kristal is standing by Chapman and willing to work through the hard times.

Yesterday, reporters wanted to confirm with Chapman about his million dollars debt and need to borrow money to get through daily life. Chapman denied his debt and said: “If the debt rumours were true, I would mind it. But I don’t mind these rumours.” Chapman expressed that he hasn’t owe his friends money for nearly 15 years. Stories about his creditor on his doorstep were made up. The one only true thing was his property was in Harbour Place.

Is your wife, Kristal Tin, unhappy about the rumours? Chapman said he married a good wife. He said: “She is the best there is. She isn’t unhappy about the rumours.” Do you owe Andy millions of dollars? Chapman said: “There is a lot of negative news lately. I know who my true friend is. There are a lot of people who support and love me. Andy is definitely a true friend and I am grateful to him.”

Chapman rented a 3000 feet luxury house in Kadoorie Hill from Andy. Last year, Andy took back the property and Chapman bought a 559 feet property at Harbour Place. He moved from a spacious to a small place. Chapman said: “I lived in a 1000 feet property and I really can’t afford to buy a luxury house. At the start of last year, my friend said the real estate market was hot. I rented properties for 30 years and felt that it was time to buy in.” Chapman can’t believe that he has negative news surrounding him even though he bought property.

Chapman supposedly offended a lot of people. He has a lot less work than his glory days. Now, he is relying on Kristal’s TV series to help out with living cost. He said: “My work hasn’t stopped. I just finished the movie “Lady Cop and Papa Crook” and I will film a new movie directed by Herman Yau. I may have a chance to produce a movie this year.”

Charmaine Sheh and Chapman To Feel the Elderly Are Forlorn

Even though there is a surplus in the government. The budget report did not include an increase to the monthly old age allowance. It only suggested a one time payment of HK$3000 to the elderly. This really disappointed a lot of people. Even a group of artistes including Charmaine Sheh, Chapman To and Kevin Cheng feels the injustice done to the elderly. Charmaine said: “Electrical rebate of HK$1800. Thanks a lot. Why don’t we use all of the HK$1800 rebate and give it to senior citizens. This way they can eat better and enjoy their remaining years. The younger people can work for their money. Artistes don’t get a lot of benefits. It would be great if the government can cut our taxes! If not, we should give more to the senior citizens.”

Chapman To also agrees with increasing the old age allowances (fruit money). He said: “You give HK$3000 to the seniors all at once. So you want them to buy an expensive Japanese melon! I believe the more useful approach is to increase the monthly fruit money. Also, alcohol is not a necessity so it shouldn’t be exempt from taxes. They should give more to seniors.” Kevin Cheng is also paying close attention to the senior’s problems. He said: “Some senior doesn’t even have HK$2 for lucky pockets. It is heart wrenching. I hope the government can give more benefits to the elderly.” Karena Lam and Don Li also agree that everyone would be happy if the government increased the old age allowances and add more benefits.

Also, Niki Chow expressed that she would benefit from the tax deduction for the HK$25000 limit. Alcohol and house wines would be tax-free. On-on Yu (余安安) said: “We don’t need to go overseas to buy wine. It benefits us and not the other countries. We can also attract other people to buy Hong Kong made wine. It will help the development of Hong Kong as a wine spot.” Cissy Wang was excited and said: “I would benefit If I had a pub.” Nicola Cheung said: “Good! It’s expensive to drink wine in Hong Kong. But I am not encouraging more people to drink wine.”
