It has been about 10 years that Kathy Chow has not filmed a series with TVB. Yesterday she was at Man Mo Temple to film TVB new series "The Academy III: Full Throttle". Kathy expresses that for the time being, she has not felt like she's not accustomed to filming TV series. She feels that its just like filming a movie, but the one thing that she's not used to is the unexpected changes in script. (Fei Ji Jai)

Kathy often films in Mainland, she expresses that before when she was filming in Mainland, she would actually go back to Hong Kong from time to time. When walking in the streets, sometimes she would come across passbyers saying to her that they haven't seen her for a long time, she felt very happy as there were actually so many people in Hong Kong that missed her. Last time when she attended TVB Anniversary, TVB immediately contacted her to film a series for them. Since there was a suitable script and role, she accepted the offer right away.

In "The Academy III", Kathy plays a gang leader's wife, "Ah So". She expresses that her character is not like the typical Ah So's where they violent and look ruthless, her character is more on the gentle side. She will have many scenes with Michael Miu, Michael Tse, Lo Yuen Yan and Sammul Chan. Kathy will try to wear clothing from her own wardrobe for the series. Her current outfit, shoes, jewelry and accessories are all from her own private wardrobe.

It has been ten years since Kathy filmed her last series, Secret of the Heart <天地豪情>, for TVB until this installment. Yesterday the crew participated in the costume fitting for the upcoming series for 《 學 警 狙 擊 》Kathy had stopped filming for 10 years and laughed that she was a “old newcomer”. She expressed that she was back to film for TVB because this instalment was highly captivating and she also had time to film this new instalment.

Kathy Chow, Elanne Kong, Michael Miu, Ron Ng and Sammul Chan all participated in the costume fitting for 《 學 警 狙 擊 》. Kathy Chow is the wife of the villain “Dai Lo” (Michael) and said she was very happy with her role, and was even laughing with the rest of the crew, and joked that she was an “old Newcomer”.

Kathy was asked if she recognised the two knew TVB’s two Siu Sings, she laughed and said “I know Ron Ng, becauseI’ve seen him in newspaper”. Asked which one she knew better Cathy stated that she knew Ron and Sammul well because she had watched the previous instalments for the Academy series.
Asked if she would feel uncomfortable since it’s been 10 years since she’s filmed, Cathy replied “It might sometimes feel unusual and sometimes it might feel fine, its just that I’ll be filming in a large area!”

Not worried about Rumours

Ron Ng and Elanne Kong will be pairing up with each other. This is the first time they will be filming together and they were asked if they had any kissing scenes. Both of them responded that they were unsure of the storyline but if it was required, they would definitely film it.

Ron was asked if he was worried about rumours but he said calmly “In the industry, when rumours spread I cannot control them, but I am very serious about this drama and I will put a lot of effort into filming it.”

Last year's "On The First Beat" was applauded and attracted a large audience. This year's installment of "Cadets" is going to be the third one, but this one will not include Michael Tao or Sonjia Kwok. Instead, the series will include the actress that has not been filming for 10 years and now returning "home" to film, Kathy Chow Hoi Mei. She will be playing a triad leader's wife (Ah So) with 3rd brother Michael Miu.

Following "The Academy" and "On the First Beat" popularity, the third installment of "Cadets" will begin filming in mid March. Nearly 41 year old, Kathy Chow was a special guest in last year's TVB Anniversary Awards show creating a lively atmosphere. Her spotlight was no different from any other FaDan's. Having the need for Kathy to be an "Ah So" in the series along with the triad leader Michael Miu and to start a relationship with him, Kathy feels she has great interest in the character.

Anticipated to Collaborate with 3rd Brother (Michael)

Michael had the opportunity to film with Anita Yuen and now with Kathy, he expressed through the phone: "Really? I didn't know, if its true, of course I would be happy.
