On Sunday December 13, 2009 grand product, Born Rich officially finished airing. While the drama's overall ratings were average, Nancy Sit still had the heart to invite the entire cast for dinner with 13 tables of guests to watch the Born Rich finale episode together. Last night every one except Joe Ma, Kenix Kwok and Gallen Lo, majority of Born Rich's crew members showed up for dinner including Ray Lui, Anita Yuen, Jamie Chik and Nancy Sit. This dinner was planned by Nancy Sit as the owner of the restaurant also wanted to celebrate their success. Originally it was only supposed to be 6 tables but more people were invited and had to add tables. Although ratings in Hong Kong were only moderate but in GuangZhou the drama was ranked at No.1. When she went to Beijing, she found she had many new fans and often referred to her by her character's name (Mu Ma or Mu Jeh!), making her very happy. When asked about the differences in ratings, she replied "Ratings are a matter of timing, preferences and viewership. The cast was very strong and extensive, what matters is that everyone was happy." When asked about the rumour of the cast re-collaborating, she replied that she would like to but she had worked lined up until September of 2010.
Anita Yuen Responds to Netizen's Anger Towards the rape Scene
With regards to Born Rich's ratings, Anita Yuen and Jamie Chik claims it isn't within the control of the actors but they are very happy with the good word of mouth. Anita also wants to film again, most importantly condition is for their to be Jamie Chik in the cast. With regards to the netizen's anger towards Anita Yuen's rape scene, she responds "As an actor, I have to take in the comments whether or not they are good. But comments that are meant to verbally abuse the actor, I wont care." She mentions that her husband after watching the scene also had a big reaction, "下!溯咋!" making her laugh.
As well, before the dinner Ray Lui who was on stage jokingly said there was nothing much to the series. He immediately received a hit from Nancy Sit who was next to him. After wards he revealed that while filming there were four people that were the hardest to get to film. One being Nancy Sit as she had to run her business, teach at her Arts school and do her radio show. The second person was Anita Yuen because she refused to film more than 12 hours a day. Anita instantly rebutted saying that Ray Lui was constantly going back to Mainland China to film. Ray claimed he waited until he was finished filimg Born Rich before going to Mainland.

Gallen Lo and Sophie Su will be holding their glamorous wedding banquet on December 12th in Beijing RITZ-CARLTON hotel. Gallen depends on his single role in to enter the race for TVB's "Best Actor Award", but marriage is just around the corner for him, Gallen is uninterested in joining the battle for the awards. The busy groom smiled and said that he hopes that his birthday on December 26th, he will receive a "baby" as a gift.
Nancy Sit, Kenneth Ma and Sharon Chan will be the representatives of the cast to attend Gallen's wedding banquet. Nancy was the best one to benefit from, apart from investing her 6 figure salary on Gallen's banquet, she also got an air ticket at her own expense to attend the banquet at the hotel to show her support. The remaining cast including Jamie Chik will have to stay in Hong Kong for performances. is scheduled to broadcast a 2 episode finale on December 23rd (Sunday), the cast and crew will be meeting up to watch the finale together.
The lastest episode of talked about how Gallen raped Anita Yuen, currently preparing for the wedding and busy shooting for new Mainland series <孔子>, Gallen should avoid such sensitive scene. Yesterday Gallen expressed through a telephone interview that he's happy and delighted. He frankly said that being the groom marrying his bride is definitely more important than thinking about TV King. He said: "I support Wayne Lai. (Your having your weddng banquet and stealing people from TVB?) Let it flow naturally. Some of them need to stay in Hong Kong for promotions and have to work on. Of course the more people that come, the more happy I am!"

Ray Lui was kissed repeatedly
Source: http://orientaldaily.on.cc
Translated by travelbug @ http://asianfanatics.net
Yesterday Ray Lui, Gallen Lo, Jamie Chik, Anita Yuen and Kenix Kwok were at Tseung Kwan O's TV City for the blessing ceremony of The Grand Entrepreneurs (金錢誘罪). It so happened that yesterday was Ray Lui's birthday, his female co-stars including Jamie Chik, Anita Yuen and Nancy Sit all gave him a kiss. TVB prepared some Chinese birthday buns (sau baau/壽包) for Ray and also to wish Jamie whose birthday is next month an early happy birthday.
Ray said his birthday wish is for his company to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange: "My company originally was to be listed this year but had to be delayed because of the financial tsunami."
Gallen who was lucky to kiss married woman Anita twice in a night, appeared a little awkward when he ran into Anita at the blessing ceremony. There were reports that Gallen felt good kissing, he clarified he never said that and was worried that this may have created a misunderstanding, but he said with a laugh that Chilam (Julian) had not yet called to condemn him.

Gallen Lo kisses Anita Yuen but his chest becomes her punching bag
source: http://orientaldaily.on.cc/
translated by: travelbug @ http://asianfanatics.net/
Gallen Lo earlier confirmed about his divorce but his life has not been lonesome, in one night he kissed married woman Anita Yuen twice. Although he got to kiss Anita, his chest became Anita's sandbag.
Last night Gallen and Anita were in Central filming two kissing scenes for TVB's drama "The Grand Entrepreneurs". The first scene was about Gallen who fell in love with Anita at first sight in Sabah (Malaysia) but he accidentally damaged her belongings. When he returned to Hong Kong, the two of them predestined by fate met at Statue Square. Anita grabbed him and asked for compensation, but not only did Gallen refuse, he made some impolite remarks. Angrily Anita put her diamond ring into Gallen's pocket and shouted that he tried to steal it, eventually alerting the police to arrive at the scene.
In order to get out of this situation, Gallen took Anita into his arms and kissed her, claiming to the police that it was just a lover's spat. Anita of course was not happy to be taken advantage of, she repeatedly punched Gallen's chest. The second scene was about them actually dating, they strolled by the Legislative Council and kissed there.
About being so lucky to have these kissing scenes, Gallen said this was only for work, he praised Anita for her professionalism, worthy of a Best Actress. He said: "Filming in these places is very rushed, we have to get into our roles immediately, I don't think much, this is to fit in with the plot, with so many years of experience I can handle this with ease. (Was it a good kiss?) I am very happy to work with Anita, she hit me hard but it felt comfortable." Will there be more explicit scenes? He disclosed that originally the script had a bed scene, but television has a limit so it will not be revealing.
Anita frankly said that the kissing scenes are part of work, she was not afraid her husband Chilam would feel jealous. She said: "Kissing in the street is OK, it's worse to feel embarrassed and have to kiss again, I rather audaciously complete it in one shot." Filming of "The Grand Entrepreneurs" will take place during Christmas as well as Chinese New Year, Anita said she feels that Chinese New Year is more important, she will try to take a few days off to spend with her family.

Gallen Lo and Anita Yuen to Film Rape Scene - Too Bold for TV

Gallen Lo and Anita Yuen to Film Rape Scene - Too Bold for TV?
Source: People CN
Photo: on.cc
The tentative title for TVB upcoming 40-episode grand production is now changed to 金钱诱罪 (The Crime-Inducing Effect of Money, lit.). Filming is to begin mid November.
Gallen Lo Ka Leung was seen at TVB City earlier, working on the drama’s sale presentation clip. While Gallen was absolutely tight-lipped about his character, producer Chong Wai Kin excitedly talked about the cast and how they had successfully convinced veterans such as Ray Lui Leung Wai and Jamie Chik Mei Chun to “descend the mountain”. He was also quite excited about a rape scene that involves Gallen Lo and Anita Yuen. The two stars did not oppose the idea. “It may sound a little too daring,” said Chong, “but it will certainly be kept within television limit.”
“Leng Leng” Anita Yuen earlier in “Love Exchange” exchanged not even a kiss with “boyfriend” Miu Kiu Wai. For her to now willing to sacrifice all the way, the charm of the newly divorced man must be quite irresistible. Being phone interviewed by reporter yesterday (Oct 5th), husband Julian Cheung Chi Lam said about his wife filming a rape scene as “very exciting!” “For this kind of drama, if you don’t stir things up, it will not be attractive!”
Gallen said he won’t be worried about the scene affecting his image. He believes the scene will be arranged reasonably. Smilingly, Gallen added that “(Since) Leng Leng is willing, I’ll be very much looking forward to it! The script is one thing, but I suppose it isn’t just simply a rape scene, but human nature which exhibits true color in time of conflict.”

Gallen Lo: “Life is now a Cup of Sake”

Gallen Lo: “Life is now a Cup of Sake”
.
[Brief]
Gallen Lo says frankly that he has yet to get used to the life of a bachelor after divorcing his wife. Entering a new stage of life, he admits there are many things to learn and to adapt to. Using wines to refer to life, Gallen likes to think of whisky as prime time, where an internal flame would be required.
His life now is more like a cup of sake.

Myolie said that she is not a beautiful woman

Myolie entered the industry as one of the winners from Miss Hongkong but she expressed that she is not a beautiful woman. This statement caused the reporters to break into a discussion. When reporters asked why she said that, she replied with an awkward shy smile: "A person must be humble. Although i have entered the industry from joining Miss Hong Kong, but i wasn't the champion. I am not the prettiest."
Myolie Wu was the second runner of Miss Hong Kong 1999. The winner was Sonijia Kwok. When Myolie said that she is not pretty, it seems to be rather contradicting. She expressed awkwardly that a person should be humble, "i'm not the prettiest, but i'm not considered ugly too. Although i entered the industry from joining Miss Hong Kong, but i am not the champion. Winning the third position, i know that i'm not the super pretty woman kind."
As the spokesperson of Adonis, Myolie is invited to Malaysia to attend the finals of Miss Adonis contest. At the press conference, Adonis representative, Ann Lee emphasized that the competition is not for choosing the prettiest but choosing the one who has changed to become pretty. Is she saying that Myolie isn't a pretty lady?
Upon hearing, Myolie laughed and said: "Whether i am a pretty lady or not, doesn't matter, only need to allow myself to become prettier will do."
Myolie is very satisfied with the pay (pay by Adonis for attending this function i think) and when asked how many figures is her pay this time, she expressed that the most important thing is happy working together. And her manager will be the one helping her to obtain a reasonable pay. Everyone doesn't need to worry.
Myolie has a short hair style. She is currently rushing for BF 3 filming and the filming will be done in one month time Asked for her opinions on her co-stars Wong Hei and Kevin Cheng, she expressed that she likes both. In addition, Myolie is currently preparing and recording for her solo cantonese album. She hopes to have a chance to sing chinese song because this is one of her wish.
Recently, the last episode of 'When a dog loves a cat' was shown late at night due to the Olympics. In the scene where Myolie realised that Gallen hasn't died, she found him behind a pillar in the hospital, and she was seen "floating" into the scene. This caused many audience to be unhappy. When asked about this, Myolie expressed that she doesn't know about this news, she needs to read the news first before she can respond.
The organiser of the function announced that the press conference will commenced at 2.30pm. Reporters arrived at the location and were informed that the press conference will start at 3.45pm. Myolie arrived at 3.30pm and was immediately invited to mix around with the organisers, talking about facial care. Hence, reporters waited at the location and was given a free lesson on facial care before the interview started.

Gallen stood up for Myolie
Gallen stood up for Myolie against Francis
Gallen is back to TVB to film When a dog loves a cat. Last week’s ratings was 29 points and it won 182,000 people watching, not bad at all. Francis不 知 攞 景 还 是 赠 兴 (haha..anyone know to translate this?), said that there was an actress who complained to him that acting requires relationship, not the skills. Hence, Myolie was thought to be the actress that he was referring to.
However, Myolie’s response was neutral. Francis’s kick and with all the negative comments, she did not bother at all, “can’t expect everyone to like you”. Gallen commented that she is very hardworking in acting but used the wrong strength. However, he felt unfair for her, and pointed out that Francis built his own happiness on other’s sadness and suffering. Unlike Myolie, who is understanding and courageously face everyone’s different criticism and comments.
Second Article:
Myolie see Gallen as a big brother, but as for Francis whom she worked with for TITS, has commented on a tv show that the new artistes now don't know how to act. He also said that when TITS was filmed, there was an actres who complaimed that acting has to be based on relationship, not the skills. When this topic was discussed, before Myolie could speak, Gallen already felt unfair for her.
Gallen: Francis really has character...he will unknowingly build his happiness on other people's suffering, i also understand him, we know each other well (i think they are close), haha! i feel that Myolie is a very strong person, and everyone has a process, just like Francis said, there are a lot of newbies who doesn't act well, but in the past, we all went through of the process of being newbies too. its only in the past, technology aren't so advance whereas now, there will be many internet voices. Everyone should be understanding and tolerant when they look at this topic because sometimes, the successful of a character in a drama is dependent on many factors, luck is also one of it.
i remember Chow Yun fat said this before, Artiste must meet a good script, if not, no matter how good they are, it is no use. Every artiste has a growing process, Myolie is willing to face different voices to reflect, to accept and to be tolerant towards certain people. Maybe some are very offensive and demanding, but it is okay, afterall, 做 人 修 为 都 系 自 己 既 (i'm not very sure, i think it meant: being a person is more or less just being themselves? its not a bad comment), many things will past quickly, most importantly is doing the thing wholeheartedly.
Myolie: And artistes are very 被 动, if the company wants you to do, you can't don't do right? there is no choice at all.

Myolie Wu: Too much pressure on her beloved cat,
Bernice Liu, Gallen Lo and Myolie Wu were doing the promotion activities for "When A Dog Loves A Cat" yesterday. Reporter asked Myolie what she thought about the 29 point rating compared with "Moonlight Resonance", Myolie said Moonlight Resonance has a bigger cast. Therefore it's normal that attracts a lot of fans watching that series. She added "we have Gallen here, a lot of fans like him too."
Myolie told reporter this is the first time her cat took part in a TV series. She has a lot of pressure because her cat didn't have any training. The cat wouldn't even walk when Myolie asked her to. She is worried the speed of the filming might be delayed. Myolie disclosed "Afterwords the director asked me if I would have my cat to take part again, I dare not say yes."

Gallen Lo: A Sense of Balance

Gallen Lo: A Sense of Balance

From left: Gallen Lo has been working in Mainland for years, has many friends and hence will not feel lonely; Gallen plays down his feelings, hopes time would heal; Gallen tries to look at everything with a sense of calm and balance, believes there is a solution to every problem.
[Brief]
Coming back after years of working in China Mainland, Gallen Lo is still very much himself, except that he is now again a bachelor.
If time could be turned back, would Gallen do something to prevent the tragedy from happening, to re-write his own destiny? After all, they’ve dated, married, and had a son. Within those 28 long years by each other’s side, they must have shared not only hardships, but also honors. Isn’t it such a pity?
“I really want to say the feelings have been overwhelming,” lamented Gallen. “But then I think it’s part of life - the differences, the difficulties, and I could only try to look at everything in its sense of balance. It helps in relieving the pressure, allows the problem to be narrowed down, allows a solution to be found, sincerely.”
Admitting defeat (facing the failure of their marriage) is one thing, being responsible is the other. Parting as friends, Gallen and his wife share mutual understanding of each other’s cares and needs. Leaving their son in his wife’s custody, Gallen himself continues on to earn their bread from the entertainment industry.

Gallen Harbour
In the beginning of July, Gallen Lo admitted his divorce in this magazine. Even though he has insisted that the breakup of his marriage was not caused by a third party, Jessica Hsuan is already being indicted into this incident. Recently, when Gallen returned to Hong Kong to attend a function, he was relentlessly questioned by the press and has become the object of their interest even though his lifestyle has not changed at all since his divorce. Gallen already predicted that Jessica would be hounded by the press and informed her about his divorce before it became public news. In addition, Gallen will remain in Hong Kong until November to film a 40 episode series for TVB. It hasn’t been decided yet who is female co-star will be, but Gallen wouldn’t mind working with Jessica again.
Ever since Gallen Lo admitted his divorce in this magazine’s second monthly issue (7/15), he has remained working in Hong Kong. He has further become the target of the press when reports came out that he had given his wife the $40,000,000 house and that he himself now has no more than $2,000,000 in assets. There are further reports that Jessica Hsuan was the cause of the breakup. To this, Gallen directly responds, “I disclosed the breakup of my marriage because I am part of the entertainment circle. I’ve said everything in my MingPao Weekly interview. Anything else is false and I will not respond to it.”
Even though Gallen’s divorce has been finalized, he continues to remain at his ex-wife’s home in Yu Ying Wan, indicating that their relationship remains on good terms. He says: I will remain in Hong Kong to attend promotional functions for “When a Dog Loves a Cat” and other activities. I will stay at my ex-wife’s for the time that I am in Hong Kong. My life remains mostly the same and has changed very little from before. Whatever happens, time will tell.” He keeps in contact with is ex-wife and son, who are vacationing overseas. He says: “I will not disclose any information about them, just that my son is having a good time where he is.” Even though Gallen will leave in the beginning of August to return to film overseas, he will come back Hong Kong in September to help his son adjust to the new school year.
Likes to Film Long Series
As for rumors of Jessica Hsuan being the cause of the breakup, Gallen has already predicted it and so he informed Jessica before news of his divorce became public. He says: “The press is going to go after her, which is something beyond my control.” Gallen is still busy promoting his new series, but will start filming a new series for TVB in November. However, neither his female co-star nor other cast members have been cast yet for the series. He says: “There is Ray Lui,…It was only when I read the newspaper that I found out that a female co-star has yet to be chosen (Would you mind working with Jessica Hsuan again?) It doesn’t matter, whatever the company decides.
Gallen’s contract with TVB has already ended, so his collaboration with them for the new series is freelance, which gives him more freedom during negotiations. He says: “Many netizens want me to film a longer series, probably because Cold Blood Warm Heart, At the Threshold of an Era, etc. have all been long series, which gives the audience time to enjoy. I actually like filming longer series as well because when filming twenty-episode series, I have a feeling of incompleteness.
Considering Living Situation Overseas
Even though Gallen will stay in Hong Kong for roughly four more months to film the 40-episode series, but the overseas market remains his priority. Regarding it, he says: “The real estate market in the mainland is really competitive. Hong Kong residents are considered outsiders, so they are only allowed purchase one piece of property. Besides, there are predictions that the prices of property will fall after the Olympics, so I plan to take my time choosing a suitable one. However, I have never said that I will relocate to Beijing or somewhere else in the mainland. I’m only considering living quarters so as to make it more convenient when I am working overseas.
As for the new series “When a Dog Loves a Cat,” a lot of people are no doubt looking forward to it because it’s been five years since Gallen has filmed a TVB series aired in Hong Kong. He says: “My only hope is that the audience will enjoy it. Even though I have aspirations for overseas work, there’s no pressure right now to pursue it. WADLAC is very special in that it will feature many dogs and cats. I had a good time filming it, getting the chance to spend time with old friends. After filming, we often would go out for hotpot. It felt like a party oftentimes.”
In WADLAC, Gallen’s relationship with Myolie Wu has changed from family to a romantic couple. Regarding her acting skills, he says: “She is constantly improving and very hardworking. She sets high standard for herself as an artist, and in this regard, I really admire that.” Even though Gallen and Myolie have an age gap of more than ten years, they are still able to exude the feeling of a couple, it seems that Gallen’s youthful appearance may have something to do with that. He says: “I’ve always considered walking to be a form of exercise. I spend an hour power walking every night. Actually, this habit was fostered since I was a child because the building I used to live in Sum Sui Bo doesn’t have a lift. In the fourteen years that I lived there, I had to climb eight flights of stairs everyday. During breaks between filming, I still get around by walking. I don’t sit around much nor eat too much. When filming overseas, I loved eating noodles with spicy foods. I heard somewhere that eating spicy foods is good for the skin, which made me want nothing but spicy foods all the time. Also, I drank a lot of water and two cups of coffee everyday because coffee is good for the body.
