TVB actor Joe Ma is caught in yet another scandal.

A few weeks ago, the actor supposedly stood aside and watched the situation unfold when fellow actor Benny Chan kissed 19-year-old actress Rose Chan. Later, Rose and her master said that they had "forgiven" Joe.

The actor is caught in hot soup again as a set of photos depicting the actor lying in bed with a female companion surfaced online recently.

Raymond Lam: “Joe Ma Is A Loyal Friend!”

Saturday November 26, 2011 Hong Kong
Credits: to Jayne @ http://www.jaynestars.com

At Raymond Lam’s (林峯) autograph signing event for the release of his concert DVD, over 500 fans appeared. A giant gift box was brought out, upon which a beautiful woman jumped out the box with a birthday cake in hand. December 8th will be Raymond’s birthday, in which he revealed that a large birthday party will be held with fans around the world. Regarding the competition for TVB’s TV King competition, Raymond expressed confidence.

Raymond’s rumored girlfriend, Rose Chan (陳嘉桓), was recently implicated in a scandal in which Benny Chan (陳浩民) had touched her inappropriately after a few drinks. [Joe Ma (馬德鐘) was also present at the time, but his involvement was cleared by Rose's sifu, Sin Kwok Lam (冼國林).] Raymond noted, “After filming a music video together, Rose and I have very little contact with each other. I found the news to be very shocking. I have known Joe Ma for a very long time.” (Joe took advantage of being drunk to take advantage of Rose!) “He is a veteran who possesses loyalty (義氣) and takes good care of me. The news was very shocking to me!”

In Raymond’s mind, Rose Chan was very pure. It has been several years since Raymond last filmed in Hengdian, China. After working, Raymond would normally eat dinner with the cast and crew, but he rarely drank alcohol due to the tight filming schedule. Regarding conflicting conjectures that Rose Chan had brought the incident upon herself due to her warm personality, Raymond said, “Since the incident had progressed to this stage, it is inappropriate to comment too much on the matter.”

Joe Ma wins over co-star Anita Yuen

Source: Yahoo! News

For years he's been the lightning rod of media criticism due to the numerous links with his female co-stars. But these days, Joe Ma's hitherto tainted image has been scrubbed clean, and he's even gotten the seal of approval from the allegedly difficult Anita Yuen, his co-star in the drama Born Rich.

"I read that she's a very difficult person, but in fact she's very meticulous and cheerful. Our chemistry is very good and we seldom had NGs (no-good takes). Because of that we often wrapped up early!" chirped the Hong Kong actor.

Joe was in Singapore on Tuesday to promote the new serial, which features an ensemble cast including Gallen Lo, Ray Lui, Kenix Kwok and Nancy Sit. In it, he plays an all-too-perfect good guy, a bank executive whose romantic interest is Anita.

Previous reports showed that Joe's good feelings are two-way. Anita commented that despite initial apprehensions, she found her co-star to be easygoing and counts him as a personal friend. The two actors, who each have a son, even discussed parenthood.

He laughed, "What she's going through now, I've gone through before!"

The 41-year-old father has come a long way in rebuilding his reputation in the public eye. His image took one battering after another as rumours about his involvements with co-stars like Michelle Ye, Charmaine Sheh, Flora Chan, Kenix Kwok and Sonija Kwok, piled up.

In 2005, his wife Cheung Sau Lan even took their 10-year-old son and left for France after he was exposed for having an extramarital affair. Joe publicly addressed his mistake and flew to France to salvage the marriage.

These days, the Hong Kong press calls him "a renewed man", something he says he has to thank them for.

But the former policeman joked, "Actually my co-stars nowadays are people I've worked with before. So there's nothing more for [reporters] to talk about!"

The renewed family man says the secret to maintaining his marriage now is spending more time with his loved ones. On his son, "We've always been more like good friends than father-and-son. He even tells me what to do and what not to do!"

On Sunday December 13, 2009 grand product, Born Rich officially finished airing. While the drama's overall ratings were average, Nancy Sit still had the heart to invite the entire cast for dinner with 13 tables of guests to watch the Born Rich finale episode together. Last night every one except Joe Ma, Kenix Kwok and Gallen Lo, majority of Born Rich's crew members showed up for dinner including Ray Lui, Anita Yuen, Jamie Chik and Nancy Sit. This dinner was planned by Nancy Sit as the owner of the restaurant also wanted to celebrate their success. Originally it was only supposed to be 6 tables but more people were invited and had to add tables. Although ratings in Hong Kong were only moderate but in GuangZhou the drama was ranked at No.1. When she went to Beijing, she found she had many new fans and often referred to her by her character's name (Mu Ma or Mu Jeh!), making her very happy. When asked about the differences in ratings, she replied "Ratings are a matter of timing, preferences and viewership. The cast was very strong and extensive, what matters is that everyone was happy." When asked about the rumour of the cast re-collaborating, she replied that she would like to but she had worked lined up until September of 2010.

Anita Yuen Responds to Netizen's Anger Towards the rape Scene

With regards to Born Rich's ratings, Anita Yuen and Jamie Chik claims it isn't within the control of the actors but they are very happy with the good word of mouth. Anita also wants to film again, most importantly condition is for their to be Jamie Chik in the cast. With regards to the netizen's anger towards Anita Yuen's rape scene, she responds "As an actor, I have to take in the comments whether or not they are good. But comments that are meant to verbally abuse the actor, I wont care." She mentions that her husband after watching the scene also had a big reaction, "下!溯咋!" making her laugh.

As well, before the dinner Ray Lui who was on stage jokingly said there was nothing much to the series. He immediately received a hit from Nancy Sit who was next to him. After wards he revealed that while filming there were four people that were the hardest to get to film. One being Nancy Sit as she had to run her business, teach at her Arts school and do her radio show. The second person was Anita Yuen because she refused to film more than 12 hours a day. Anita instantly rebutted saying that Ray Lui was constantly going back to Mainland China to film. Ray claimed he waited until he was finished filimg Born Rich before going to Mainland.

Joe Ma sighs due to low ratings in series

Source: On.cc
Translation: matchbox @ http://illusive-serenity.forumotion.net/

Joe Ma accepted a interview with Metro radio. He discussed about series "Born Rich" having very low viewer ratings. He couldn't resist to say "There are going to be many intimate scenes soon". He feels that "Born Rich" and "Beyond the Realm of Conscience" attract different types of audience. Also it's very difficult to compare a modern and ancient series. The reporter asked if he will do more promotions for the series? He said "Yes, but many of the artists have already left Hong Kong".

Re-emergence of 'Salty Pork Hand' at TVB, many male artists are suspected

Source: http://www.takungpao.com and http://orientaldaily.on.cc/
Translated by travelbug @ http://asianfanatics.net

Kingdom Yuen recently revealed on a radio program that a 'Salty Pork Hand' (鹹豬手) male artist has re-emerged at TVB. Although Kingdom did not say his name, she revealed his characteristics, like he is taller than Bosco Wong and knows how to play magic. (From Oriental Daily dated Feb 3, please see below for the 5 characteristics she mentioned) This 'Salty Pork Hand' made use of magic tricks to sexually harrass female artists, with this 'magic trap' he has touched the breasts of two female artists. It is rumored that the victims were Sonija Kwok and Astrid Chan. Yesterday a magazine disclosed that the 'Salty Pork Hand' suspects are Joe Ma, Ellesmere Choi, Kenneth Ma, Steven Ma, Moses Chan and Vin Choi (蔡淇浚).

Yesterday Steven was asked about this matter, he said with a laugh that Kingdom did not reveal a name and stressed it was not him. When he heard this news he was shocked, he said: "Kingdom didn't say clearly, (she) shouldn't mislead others." One of the suspect's characteristics is he likes to cook, referring to this Steven said he also likes to cook but he is lazy. About the two suspected victims Sonija and Astrid, coincidentally there were previous rumors of Steven not getting along with them, he laughed: "Kingdom did not tell me who the female artists were." Steven hopes the victims will report to the police. Since this matter is now publicized, he also believes that this person will not attempt again and his colleagues will be more careful.

(This paragraph is from The Sun Daily): Steven disclosed he knows who the 'offender' is: "Kingdom told me, when I heard I was shocked, I never guessed it was him. But I will not reveal, it's Kingdom's fault, she divulged some but not everything!"

Ellesmere was interviewed by phone yesterday, he denied he is 'Salty Pork Hand'. He felt if this matter was as serious as reported, it would have been revealed much earlier and not recently. He said he was not unhappy because of this news, also he has never filmed a travel program with Astrid, maybe there was some misunderstanding. (Have you collaborated with Sonija?) Ellesmere said he did many years ago but there were not many scenes between them. He said: "I also agree that the female victims should stand up and declare who 'Salty Pork Hand' is." Asked if he knows Kingdom well, he said they are only colleagues and he has nothing more to comment on this matter.

In addition, yesterday at TV City Joe Ma said he had not read the article and not heard about this rumor, he could only laugh it off. He said: "I don't know how to play magic, I have never performed magic in front of other artists." When Sunny Chan heard that TVB has a 'Salty Pork Hand' he was agitated and said: "Why hasn't Kingdom revealed his name?" He appealed to the female victims to report to the police so as to stop incidents like this from happening again.

When Ron Ng was asked about this incident, he said he has always followed the rules and acted according to convention, he also has a clear conscience. Moreover he doesn't know how to play magic and cook, he has filmed for many years without thinking bad thoughts so this incident has nothing to do with him. When it was mentioned that his good friend Joe Ma is one of the suspected offenders, Ron claimed that Joe doesn't know magic tricks. He hoped that the female victims can speak out, otherwise this will affect TVB's male artists and TVB's reputation.

According to Kingdom, 'Salty Pork Hand' has these 5 characteristics:
1. gentle/polite and handsome
2. taller than Bosco Wong
3. likes to cook, seems like a family man
4. has filmed travel program(s) before
5. once dated a female artist secretly

Boss of Niki Chow's record company Leung Ji San writes on Blog implying Niki's been Betrayed

Recently the "Sheh-Wing Love" has been making headlines, like Kevin and girlfriend's Niki Chow "Haven't seen for Half a Year" incident, while Kevin claimed that he was telling the truth, Niki said he lied. They both had their own words. The boss's wife of Niki's record company BMA, Leung Ji San secretly said on her blog that someone betrayed Niki. Her "love opponent" Charmaine Sheh continues the hurricane, where she and rumored boyfriend Joe Ma were hugging and holding hands in public!

Last month after magazines first exposed the "Sheh-Wing Love", as Kevin's real girlfriend Niki Chow, she had to patch up her injuries, but earlier Kevin without thinking argued that they "had not been in contact for half a year" was the truth, this described the "Wing-Chow Love". Afterwards, it as said that Niki wanted to get people to feel sorry for her, immediately said that her boyfriend was lying. Recently BMA's boss Leung Ji San has been making blog posts titled "Only a Matter of Seconds" and wrote a "Friend's" story, implying that Niki has been betrayed.

In the blog Leung Ji San wrote: "she is really unhappy because recently a number of past events has been confirmed. She used to love this boy... causing her to be extremely heartbroken...I of course understand the feeling of being betrayed. When you learn the truth, the second of love, friendship and betrayal, its all part of what has pasted in your life, you won't care what they did in the last year.... it is their problem. Now its only worth to spend a matter of a second!" Although she didn't directly "draw the picture out", but Leung Ji San clearly is caring for Niki and implied that the love is not peaceful.

The truth, cannot be appealed

Yesterday reporters contacted Leung Ji San, asked if she deliberately wrote a story to support Niki? She said: "actually I wasn't talking about anyone in particular, just quoting a line of phenomenon. The majority of people' stories are like this. My meaning is if two people are separated, the best way is that they go independent of each other." She also expressed that she definitely supports Niki, but Niki also has friends around her, she will not talk about this issue anymore, she said: "actually the issue is already the past, if we find out the truth then what? There is no way to appeal it! Recently I have had dinner with her, Niki appeared to be very happy, nothing wrong. In the mist of dinner, someone did ask her about her love life, Niki just provided a short answer." This whole incident, we had not had Niki reply yet.

Hugging and Holding Joe Ma

Also, Yesterday Charmaine and rumored boyfriend Joe Ma and Kiki Sheung were at the promotional event for upcoming TVB Anniversary "When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West". During the dividing cake game, Joe Ma held the blind folded Charmaine Sheh's hand, in contrast the other pair Vincent Wong and Selena Li were avoiding one another.

Charmaine was asked if she gets married, will she announce it? She said: "Right now I don't plan to, also life's second phase can be studies, business, it doesn't have to be marriage."

Charmaine Sheh supports Gigi Lai's decision

Liza Wang, Charmaine Sheh, Joe Ma, Raymond Wong, Selina Li and Jeanette Leung promoted their new series (When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West ) yesterday. During the function they split into teams to make birthday cakes and buns to celebrate TVB's Anniversary. Despite Joe Ma and Charmaine previously rumoured together they didn't avoid each other while playing games. Joe even held Charmaine's hand while adding the icing. Raymond Wong needed the host to request in order to hold Selina's hand.

Liza Wang has not thought of retiring

This series was arranged to be aired during TVB's Anniversary. Liza said she never thought about matters relating to when the series would be aired and that the company would decide. But the good news is that this series had only finished filming recently and will be immediately released. Liza was asked about the viewing ratings. Liza said this series is a different type of series and rather serious. She hopes that it will provide the audience with more choice When asked about Gigi Lai leaving the circle, Liza believed that Gigi knew what was best for her. She will respect her decision and she cannot say if it's a pity or not. Although they have never worked together before she knew that Gigi would give her best performance. Did Liza ever think about retiring from the circle herself? She said she still needs to have a life and she has been doing this type of work all her life. Unless she really didn't want to continue working anymore but she will definitely announce it. As for Wan Chi Keung's health conditions, she referred the reporters to ask Law Ka Ying instead as he was more closer to him.

Charmaine was happy for Gigi as she believed she had found another goal in her life to make that decision. Charmaine also revealed that Gigi told her a year ago she didn't want to continue filming dramas. At the time Gigi said it in a happy tone therefore she didn't want to persuade her. Even when she heard the announcement she wasn't shocked about it. "As a friend I will definitely support her decision but to the audience it maybe a pity. (Have you thought about leaving the industry?) "Not right now, if I enter another stage in my life such as studying, doing business etc I will consider it". (Do you think you have lost one competitor?) "You can't say that. Our roles and acting paths are different". (But your Fa Dan status will be more stable?) "I still have to improve, cannot be too satisfied. Even if people leave there will be newcomers".

Jeanette Leung successfully steals the Limelight from Charmaine

In addition, Jeanette Leung wore a low cut dress. While playing games she was particuarly active and successfully stole the limelight. But afterwards, she denied this. She said most important is that people think she looks pretty in it and not giving off a cheap look.

Joe Ma was fined $1500 for careless driving

Joe Ma was fined $1500 for careless driving

Earlier this year (March), Joe Ma was driving along Clear Water Bay Road but he didn't stop in front of the give way lines and when he did a left turn, he nearly had an accident with a motorcycle. The driver took down his number plate and reported him to the police.

Joe appeared in court yesterday and defended himself by telling the court that the motorcycle was following him for a long time and didn't take much notice of it. But the judge didn't accept his reason for not stopping in the give way lines. He had to pay a fine of $1500.

TVB and Korea's CMB collaborated in opening TVB's Korea Channel and held the "TVB-CMB Alliance New Long Journey" press conference in TVB City yesterday. TVB arranged many artistes to attend the event. Including recent rumored couple Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh,"Past love" rumored boyfriends Ron Ng and Joe Ma also appeared. Charmaine and Ron who are used to be big events were very cooperative. But as for Kevin Cheng and Joe Ma, one appeared with a black face and the other avoided the situation.

Kevin Cheng appeared with a black face, Joe Ma went backstage to avoid

Yesterday many guests attended, as well as TVB and Korea's CMB executives, TVB artistes such as Moses Chan, Tavia Yeung, Joe Ma, Kevin Cheng, Ron Ng and Bosco Wong etc all attended. But the spotlight was on Charmaine and her 3 rumored boyfriends. Charmaine was talking and laughing with Joe Ma, but didn't talk to Kevin or Ron. Moses was inbetween Charmaine and Kevin as she was arranged to sit next to Moses. When the reporters were taking pictures, Moses felt awkward with the atmosphere and walked away, so that the rumored couple could take pictures together. Charmaine's face appeared a little red. The reporters then requested Charmaine to take pictures with all 3 of her rumored boyfriends. Ron was very cooperative, but Kevin appeared to have a black face and pretended he didn't hear the request. Joe Ma quickly went back stage to avoid the situation. In the end TVB executive Virginia Lok asked Kevin to take pictures but after 2 seconds, other artistes managers asked their artistes to take pictures together. Moses who appeared awkward went behind Charmaine and said "Lets all take a picture together".

Afterwards, the reporter asked if Charmaine felt very awkward? She said "All of you nearly pushed me off the stage, if I was pushed off the stage then that would be awkward". The reporter then stated that her new love and past loves were all present. "I have been working very hard for 10 years, finally I can appear on Korea's TV Channel." She stated that she met the Korean representatives yesterday with Virginia Lok and Kevin was also present. As for her relationship with Kevin, she said "He is a good colleague and friend." (What about Ron Ng?) "Also a colleague and friend". (Did you feel awkward with 3 of your rumored boyfriends at the same place?) She said that if she was rumored with everyone and feeling awkward with each person, it will be alot of trouble for her." (Asked if she had a chance to develop a relationship with Kevin?) "I don't want to talk about this." (Does Kevin meet your requirements?) "He is a good guy". (Is he pursuing you?) "I don't think so".

Ron Ng: We are all colleagues

Kevin also said he didn't feel awkward because they are his colleagues. The reporter said he forced his smile, he replied "You have not seen me enough, I always smile like that". He also said that he didn't mind taking pictures together. He also claimed that they will have plenty of opportunities to take pictures together as the TVB anniversary will be coming up. He immediately said that his home was flooded yesterday and so was his car. Fortunately villagers helped him push his car. As for claims stating Charmaine was in the car at the time, he replied "I will not respond to the rumors". (Then that was not the case?) "I am not responding to the rumors." As for seeing Ron and Joe yesterday, but reported having a black face. Kevin said "They are my colleagues".

Joe Ma denied going back stage to avoid taking pictures and claimed he didn't hear the requests. He also said he was standing on the stage all the time. He said "Charmaine and my rumors are Outdated news". Ron also expressed that he didn't feel akward. All of them are his colleagues and he will often bump into them. Recently Ron had new rumors with a previous Miss Hong Kong finalist Giann Wong, he said "They reported her appearing in my estate, Joe Ma uses the same cell phone model as me, so does that mean we are gay?". He said the most ridiculous part was the reporters claimed the rumors started while she was filming "The Four". But Giann Wong is not even in "The Four".

There were also reports stating Virginia Lok suspicious of Niki Chow exposing things to the media and also because she is very fond of Kevin. It stated Niki's assistant was blocked from entering TVB City. Virginia claimed she did not block anyone, but the company has rules and they must apply for a pass in order to enter the studios. That is a normal procedure and it's nothing to do with her, as it's managed by the security
