A few weeks ago, the actor supposedly stood aside and watched the situation unfold when fellow actor Benny Chan kissed 19-year-old actress Rose Chan. Later, Rose and her master said that they had "forgiven" Joe.
The actor is caught in hot soup again as a set of photos depicting the actor lying in bed with a female companion surfaced online recently.
In one of the photos, Joe and his female companion had their faces close to each other and were smiling at the camera. The pair was even said to be wearing matching shirts.
In another saucier picture, the pair had their heads together and their bodies leaned against each other. From the positions and angles of their bodies, it was speculated that Joe and the girl had taken the photo when they were in bed.
The girl in the photo looked about 27 or 28 years old and resembled Katherine, a girl with whom Joe previously had an affair in Thailand five years ago.
Twenty-eight-year-old Katherine reportedly met Joe at a nightclub and became his girlfriend, despite knowing he has a family. Her relationship with the actor lasted two years. The pair was caught touring Thailand together and Joe's wife returned to Hong Kong from France, forcing the pair to end their relationship.
Responding to the recent photos that surfaced, Joe replied calmly, "Those photos were taken six years ago. What had to be said, had already been said then. I will not respond to an incident so long ago. I had resolved what happened in the past with my wife. We'll turn all these negative incidents into positive energy. We have to look forward to a new year. I have to plan my direction in life."
Joe's wife also spoke up for her husband for the first time. She said that she did not know the girl in the picture, adding that Joe knew how to "restrain himself". She also claimed that she would not control him because of this incident, saying, "He's an adult, he should have discipline."
