After the Anniversary Awards, Kevin posed for some photos for the TVB magazine and headed to Wan Chai at 2 AM, attending the private celebration party organized by Myolie Wu (胡杏兒). In attendance were also Virginia Lok (樂易玲), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Koni Lui (呂慧儀), Sire Ma (馬賽), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Johnson Li (李思捷) and numerous other celebrities. Yesterday afternoon, Kevin resumed filming Ghetto Justice 2 <怒火街頭II>. His face appeared tired and he obviously had a hangover from last night. “Right now, I feel a bit wing wing!”

In an interview with Eileen Cha (查小欣), Kevin discussed his fe elings upon receiving three awards at the 2011 TVB Anniversary Awards. “Last night, I was very surprised. I felt it was okay in receiving the My Favorite Male Character Award and it was a pleasant surprise to receive the Best Actor Award. When the results for Best Actor were announced, my heart was beating very quickly. My brain blanked out when I received the Best Actor Award, which is why my acceptance speech was a bit disorganized.

Nancy Wu flirtatious roles brings good blessings

Monday June 22, 2009 Hong Kong

Translated by: aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/

Using "flirtatious reasonable" is the best way to describe Nancy Wu. In series, Nancy is usually the girl who gives off a flirtatious wink. Since her entry into the entertainment circle 7 years ago, if she's not a witch, then she the so-called flirty girl, but she still has fun with the roles, she said: "The audience nowadays expect more, they have higher expectations on artistes. In "Rosy Business", they like to watch how I flirt, how I attract others to seduce me, keep watching how my role changes. To be a flirty and likable girl at the same time is definitely not something easy to do, it's really hard!" In reality, we see Nancy's personality is far from being "flirty", she is actually more of a tomboy instead: "How flirty am I? That I will have to ask all of you! If I was so flirty, then I wouldn't have so little gossips! I actually don't think I'm flirty enough!"

Appreciate the brave Producers
Nancy feels that villain roles are not that bad because there is a greater opportunity to develop the role: "Many people don't like to be villains, but I usually encounter these roles, it could be consider my luck. In "Rosy Business", I play a girl who has an affair, even my mom got very into the series, she would always say 'how could that be!', I really feel a sense of accomplishment!" As the saying goes, "One achieves a million", Nancy frankly said that there are many Producers who offered her to play challenging roles, and that could be consider a risk: "They are really very brave, sometimes I don't even have enough confidence for myself that I could do well on that role, I'm more afraid that I may ruin the role instead, but the Producers are still taking this big risk in giving me the role, they may have looked for the wrong person, I truly admire their courage."

Some artistes are known to have bad acting skills, but other artistes are born to act, their acting is just so natural, it's just like in a dancing class, one leap into the next level. Nancy is a person who had experienced this: "I'm very lucky. I have never had anyone criticize my acting, many colleagues help me, give me advice and many Producers give me opportunities. But when I first entered the industry because I had too many lazy sounds when I speak, I would end up reading 'Hong Kong' as "Heung Gon" (like "rushing"), 'China' I would read as "Chung Gok" ("Middle Corner"), therefore making many people scold me! One time I was on a TV show, someone told me: "Ah Lui, you have so many lazy sounds, you will never in your life time be able to change it!' The person made it seem like I had no hope at all, but I did not give up. I know artistes need to have good pronunciation, an artist's voice is a priority. So each day, I would read the newspaper out loud to improve my pronunciation. Now no one had said anything about my speech!"

Does not dare to wish to be crowned Queen
To be able to reach the top in the TV industry is easier said than done. Many Fadans try to stir up gossips and news, but Nancy feels that these methods are not stable: "This circle, each person has a different goal, each person has a different lifestyle. There are ways to reach the top, but make sure you're able to pass your conscience first." When asked if she had done anything that she couldn't pass herself? She immediately said: "Attending dinner gatherings! It's best to be a true person. Although I always play flirty characters, but I am not a sexy stunner. Maybe because of this, no one has ever asked me to attend any dinner gatherings. Ha Ha! I had never been on the list!"

Nancy frankly said that she is not a type of person for awards, TV Queen is far from her reach. Getting the "Most Improved Female Artist" is already a huge encouragement, she does not dare to ask for anymore. She only hopes that one day she will be able to be in a legendary role, then she would feel more successful.

Try and see if compatible with Kenneth Ma
What girl does not want to be loved? Nancy is no different from any other girl, she too wants to have a boyfriend who can lend a shoulder whenever she wants. After she broke up with Deep Ng, many friends around her has asked her when she will bring out another boyfriend? After spreading rumors with Kenneth Ma, there are finally some clues, but she still denies that she and Kenneth are in a relationship, she said: "We have never dated, so I'm not sure if we are compatible or not! But he is truly a good person!" Reporters then told her to try and get compatible with Kenneth, she immediately let out a sweet smile: "Oh!" After her Oh..... she did not say anything more.

SLENDER Nancy Wu might not have the liver capacity to gulp down a half-yard of beer in a single sitting.

But there's one thing she definitely doesn't lack in her life - men.

The 27-year-old Hong Kong actress was in town last weekend, along with fellow TVB stars Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu, to attend the finals of Beds Beer Battle 2009.

Held at Beds KTV Pub, the event was a competition to discover the fastest beer drinker in Singapore.

She watched in amazement as contestants effortlessly washed down beer at breakneck speed.

After the event, as the doe-eyed beauty sipped gracefully on champagne - clearly her preferred drink - with her colleagues, The New Paper took the chance to quiz her about recent rumours surrounding two male celebrities.

Yes, we're talking about not one, but two men.

The first is boyish South Korean singer-actor Nathan Lee, 25, member of boyband TAKE and part of the cast of A Starry Night, the new subway drama slated to be screened at train stations in Singapore and China later this year.

Chemistry

Nathan and Nancy were dance partners in the second season of reality talent show Strictly Come Dancing, the Asian version of Hollywood's Dancing With The Stars.

Their chemistry was undeniable as the pair waltzed, tango-ed and rhumba-ed their way to third prize in the competition, even scoring full marks on two occasions.

Nancy had no qualms about heaping praise on him.

'I must say Nathan is indeed the best partner I've had at work so far,' said Nancy with a grin.

'It must be fate's arrangement that we got to dance together on the show.

'Somehow, we just clicked very well and were able to communicate with ease.

'I give him a full 100 marks for his dedication and commitment.'

As for Nathan's confession of love for her during an interview, she laughed and admitted that she initially found his affection 'odd', but eventually didn't think too much about what he said.

'He grew up in America and therefore is more Westernised and direct in his behaviour,' she said.

'We spent two months on the show and saw each other literally every day, so it's inevitable that we became close as friends.

'He's now pursuing his career in mainland China, I do hope he comes back to Hong Kong some time though!'

Another of her rumoured beaus is goofy-looking 35-year-old fellow TVB actor Kenneth Ma

The Hong Kong media is rife with reports that the two got to know each other on Strictly Come Dancing.

According to reports, 'sparks flew despite them being on different teams' and they have 'already been secretly dating for nearly a year'.

'Ahh, it's pure gossip, we are just very good friends,' was Nancy's calm reply.

She said, however, that Kenneth's 'down-to-earth disposition' was one of his most attractive traits.

'Who doesn't like a man who is grounded and practical?'

Then, with a sigh, she added: 'These days, good guys are really hard to come by.'

Hush-hush

Local fans with placards sporting her name were seen stationed outside Beds KTV as they patiently waited for her arrival at the Beer Battle event, which was by invitation only.

Last December, she bagged the Most Improved Actress award at TVB's 41st Anniversary Awards, a sign that she had finally hit the big time after eight years in the television industry.

'It's great that my efforts have been recognised,' said Nancy.

'I've been very lucky too, to get the challenging part in (period drama) The Silver Chamber Of Sorrows where I got to play the fourth wife of veteran actor Paul Chun.

'The character I portrayed in it was a vivacious hostess who spent much of her rough life in seedy nightclubs. It was definitely a refreshing change for me, as well as for my fans who have followed my career all this while.'

Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai, Ron Ng, Nancy Wu and the cast of "Rosy Business" visted an Elderly Service Centre, handing out white rice. It was announced that the series had average viewing ratings of 30 points, peaking at 35 points. As for TVB accepting audience's feedback and changing the endings in recent years. Sheren disagreed with it and considers the ending to already be perfect. Even if the ending was changed, there will still be netizens that may not be satisfied. As long as they have done their best that is successful enough. It doesn't neccessary need to be a happy ending. Sheren also feels there is no need to film a sequel. The best thing would be that the cast get to collaborate again in other TVB dramas.

"Rosy Business" received 11 complaints for not airing 1 day

On Tuesday, the day of 5.12 TVB series "Rosy Business" was cancelled due to broadcasting the Sichuan earthquake programme. TVB received 11 complaints. Myolie: Winning Newcomer Award

Wednesday December 10, 2008 Hong Kong

http://myolie-wu.8forum.net

Thought that after competing for awards in TVB anniversary Awards, the artistes will be able to rest? Wrong! It is time for the Music Awards at the end of the year where all the Fadans and Siu Sans who have gone into the Music Industry will compete!

Being teased for " 胡 囧 囧 ", Myolie who has put in a lot of effort in the music career, has to win Linda Chung who is also competing for the same award and also win the hearts of the audience. Lucky, Myolie who is 29 this year, has Neway Star and Ms Lok to support her. There is hope in winning the newcomer award and this time, its not 囧 look anymore!

Although both of them entered into the Music industry in the same year as newcomers, and the big boss behind the recording companies is the same as Neway (Fala's rumoured boyfriend), but Myolie receives more favour from the company than Linda. Since the release of her new CD "Evolve" on the 28th of last month, besides being heavily advertised, Myolie also had a mini concert last saturday at Macau Sands Hotel.

Both are from TVB, and both are under Neway although the Label is different, but Myolie's chance of winning is higher than Linda for the two awards: 「 叱 咤 生 力 軍 」 及 「 十 大 勁 歌 金 曲 新 人 獎 」

Listening while sleeping. Myolie's ability to sing Live is better than most of the newcomers, but unfortunately, quite a few audiences are being invited by the wine company, so part of them do not have the heart to listen to the songs, instead, fell asleep.

Myolie worked hard in her dance, which is similar to the one she did in Hunan's Strictly come Dancing 2 in April.

Although it is said to be a mini concert, but Myolie has changed two sets of clothes, and sang only 4 1/2 new songs, adding VIncent Wong and Hotcha as celebrity guests, and the whole concert was only one hour, definitely a mini concert.

The concert ticket costs 600 HKD each, 80% of the audience are invited by the Wine Sponsor, Remy Martin, who bought about 800 tickets.

Although that night, Myolie doesn't get any salary for performing in the mini concert, but Myolie doesn't think lightly of it : "I have practiced for an hour, of course it is tiring, but very happy... i really hope that one day, i can hold a concert at 紅 館 and sing for all to hear!"

To be the big winner at the Award Ceremony, besides support from the recording company, also have to depend on radio stations. An insider leaks out information that this year's Female Newcomer Award will be won by 17 years old Gem member initially, but now, Myolie has been heavily promoted, and her new song " Solo Traveling" is being played many times. In addition, her album launched ceremony was also held in the garden behind the shopping mall. Obviously being supported!

High chance of winning, Myolie admits: "It is too early to say now la! But the recording company and many radio stations are so supportive of me, i definitely can see la!" Talked about fame and ability, there is G.E.M, talk about support from the back, there is Myolie, high sales in her new CD, there is Linda Chung.

Besides clips from Bosco Wong and others, Kenneth Ma, Nancy Wu, Chris Lai, Grace Wong and Elaine Yiu attended the concert personally, holding up boards, behaving like fans.

TVB Human Resource Top Executive Ms Lok brought along her two songs to support Myolie, showing that she is also her favourite

Nancy Wu and Sharon Chan compete for award become good friends

Nancy and Sharon: Hope Tavia will get Best Supporting Actress award
Wednesday November 12, 2008 Hong Kong
Translation: Akazukin @ http://asianfanatics.net/forum

When asked whether she would like Tavia to give way so she can have the award, Nancy Wu said: “I have more confidence in Most Improved award, because the Best Supporting award has four Moonlight Resonance casts as competitors. Actually, I quite hope that Tavia get the Best Supporting award, so I ask her to give way for me to win Most Improved as she has won it before.”

[Sharon Chan] also pointed that Tavia should have been in Best Actress nomination list, but now she is only nominated under Best Supporting Actress and Most Improved Actress. Does she feel it’s a pity for Tavia? She said: “Best Supporting award will definitely be hers, because she really did very well. In contrast, if she was nominated in Best Actress, her chance of winning is slimmer, because there is Hor Ma (LSK) etc. I believe she will not mind, because she already wins audiences’ approval. A lot of netizens support her. This is more valuable than winning awards, because she receives good response from outside. Since she already has it before, I joked that why not give it to us who has not had any award before. Of course if she wins Most Improved, I will be happy too, because offscreen, we are very good friends.

Nancy Wu and Sharon Chan have become good friends
Wednesday November 12, 2008 Hong Kong

Nancy Wu and Sharon Chan are both nominated for the "Most Improved Female Actress Award" for this coming Saturday's 41st TBV Anniversary Award Ceremony. They have never worked together in any series before. Recently they have been arranged by TVB to promote the event together. Despite the competition for the award, they have not turned against each other, instead they have become good friends.

Nancy Wu has been nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" and "Most Improved Female Actress Award" in her role as "Fei Fei" in "The Silver Chamber of Sorrows" Reporter asked if she had asked Tavia to give her the award? Nancy replied "I am more confidence about the "Most Improved Actress Award" myself. This is because "Moonlight Resonance" has 4 female nominations. In fact, I would like to see Tavia to get the "Best Supporting Actress Award". That is why I had asked her to give me the "Most Improved Actress Award" because she had already got that award before. This year's TV dramas are very good indeed, in particular "Strictly Come Dancing". I believe TVB would share the award evenly among the TV series and artists. I have been in the entertainment industry for 6 years. I really want to play a deceitful role in a TV series, just like Roger Kwok. He did so well in "Last One Standing", he was so skillful as a bad guy in that series right till the end. Michelle was good also acting as a a bad person. I hate her role but the audience loved it. I think to hear audience telling you "I hate you very much" is a great satisfaction. A professional artist would not worry about the negative comments by the audience. I am not going to worry about it."

Sharon Chan has been nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role as 江翹in "Catch Me Now". Speaking about Tavia not nominated for "Best Female Actress Award" instead she was nominated for "Best Supporting Actress Award" and "Most Improved Female Artist", Nancy responded "She is going to get the "Best Supporting Actress Award" because I think she did really well in her role. On the other hand, if she was nominated for "Best Female Actress Award" she only stands a very slim chance of winning as we all know we have Louise Lee and the others to compete. I don't think she minds about the nomination, she gets a lot of support from the internet users. I joked with her to let us who have not got any award before to have a chance to get something. But if she gets the "Most Improved Female Artist Award" again, I would be happy for her too. We have all been there and it is a fair competition. If you ask me whether I really want to win, I have to tell you the truth, yes I do. I won't lie to you."

Sharon doesn't believe Nancy would say things to hurt people

Sharon attended a Computer Conference yesterday and received a notebook computer as a gift. This notebook had navigation technology so it would help her get to the destination. She expressed that it would be very useful to her because her sense of direction is not very good. Sharon revealed that she was suppose to drive towards the Gold Coast one day, but she ended up in Tuen Mun instead.

Sharon is planning to go to Thailand for a few days during break. Although Thailand seems to have an unstable political status they cannot get their deposit back if they wanted to cancel the trip. They have decided to go on their 4 day trip, "We are a bit worried about it. But we will stay inside the hotel and do some shopping and relax in the SPA. We will try not to leave the hotel and spend our time resting instead."

In regards to the recent media reports about an argument over Deep Ng between Jacqueline Chong and Nancy Wu, Sharon responded "It is difficult to say who is right and who is wrong. I won't reply to that. I only care about the people around me. I believe Nancy would not say anything to hurt other people. Let's hope those three don't take any notice of that and be happy."

Nancy Wu Angrily: "Stop Dragging me into News I have nothing to do with"

Since Deep Ng ditched Nancy Wu for model Jacqueline Chong, rumors of jealousy has been going one after another. Yesterday Jacqueline Chong admitted that she was insulted in TV City "You're just my old shoes, b*tch! (Bat Por)" Nancy did not dare to attack back, someone wants to get on the news. And this triggered the two for a war of words. Jacqueline recently got a sky bridge person for her to step into the entertainment circle, she will be hosting for two TVB shows. Rumors state that yesterday just outside of TV City Jacqueline, Deep Ng and Deep's ex-girlfriend Nancy Wu came face to face. During the time, Jacqueline was accused by someone: "You're just my old shoes, b*tch!" afterwards, she left in tears. The target seems to be towards Nancy.
Deep has it hard both left and right

Within the rumors, Deep is stuck in the middle and has it hard both left and right, he sigh and said: "Me being stuck in the middle is quite awkward." Girlfriend being accused, Deep of course supports her all the way. But Deep was questioned about what he experienced, Deep said: "Just everyone do their own part, I am not comfortable to be saying too much."

Jacqueline's clarification, at first she hestitated, but later she finally admitted that she did get accused: "I don't want to talk about it, afterwards did not talk about it with my company or Deep, leave it alone! (Deep said he'll support you!) Him supporting me of course I'm very happy, this problem has made me unhappy and stressed. (You and Nancy had many rumors, if you see Nancy in TV City, what would you do?) Turn the other way! (Will you change the TVB work schedule?) That I won't do, we are adults, will know what is work and what is personal!"

Yesterday Nancy was filming for "Wives & Concubines" outdoor scenes in TV city, reporters were asking her about Jacqueline being accused, she and her manager discussed it and then replied: "This is the second time! Last time the rape threat, didn't have anything to do with me and dragged me into it too. This time I can't hold it anymore, I don't know what they want? I'm not afraid, things that did not happen there will not not be any witnesses."

Making News, Go Find someone else

The more Nancy spoke the more frustrated she was: "How am I suppose to know why she was crying? I haven't contacted Deep for a very long time, nor will I contact him. Maybe this year I don't want to bother too many people, I don't want to care, I don't want to see "this person", he is not my problem." Nancy was used to make news: "I am just a TV artist, no value for news, sorry, if want to make news go find someone else!"
