EEG CEO Albert Yeung: Give Edison Another Chance

February 22, 2008, Hong Kong - The Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) held its Spring Banquet last night (Feb 21). Almost every EEG artiste attended the dinner but very prominently missing in attendance was Gillian Chung, who was involved in the recent sex photos scandal and Nicholas Tse, whose wife Cecilia Cheung was also implicated by the sex photos scandal.

That night, CEO of EEG, Albert Yeung, did not seem affected in any way by the speech Edison Chen made earlier. Yeung not only accepted the media's request to be interviewed but also greeted the media with seemingly high spirits and a bright smile. When reporters asked whether he had seen edison's press conference, Yeung smilingly replied with “Haha! You are only asking me this now?" He commented that Edison's statement seemed very sincere and said that Edison should be given another chance. When asked if he heard of rumors of triads being ordered cut off Edison's hand and if he deserved another chance against such physical harm, Yeung smiled and replied "I don't know about that. I can't say for others. I haven't contacted Edison. It's his personal decision to step away from the entertainment business. It is a bit of a pity that Edison made such a decision though. He is after all, a good singer and actor." With that, he is pulled away by Twins' Manager, Mani. After that, reporters tried to further ask Yeung about his niece Vincy but was deflected by Yeung stating that he has not been in contact with Vincy since the scandal broke out as she is currently studying overseas but that Vincy's father has been in regular contact with her.
