Gaile Lok clarifies divorce rumours

The model denied miscarriage, third party and money talks during a radio interview

The model finally breaks her silence on divorce rumours with Leon Lai for the first time during a radio interview hosted by longtime good friend, Vanessa Yeung.

Gaile admitted that she did receive lavish gifts such as a sports car from ex-husband Leon, but sold it away due to her "amateur driving skills".

"We gave each other gifts too. I bought him [Leon] a six-figure sum whisky for his birthday," she added.
Refuting talks that she obtained a portion of Leon's assets, worth an estimated HK$200 million (S$30 million), the 32-year-old said that she only received "a small sum of settlement that is not even near HK$10 million (S$1.5 million)".

The model stressed that their split was not due to a third party, indirectly dismissing earlier rumours of Leon and Gaile's newfound romance with Hong Kong TVB actress Kate Tsui and New Zealander friend, Cuz respectively.
She commented, "I wish I can show everyone the divorce papers. Not all relationships end because of scandals and mistakes. There are also instances when it just does not work out."
Gaile also denied pregnancy and miscarriage rumours which was speculated as the main reason behind the divorce.
She clarified that the divorce statement was made several months before the official announcement last month.

"Both of us made the decision [divorce]. I do not hate him and have no hard feelings against him. We will still care for each other now," she told Vanessa.
