Sonija Kwok is three months pregnant

Hong Kong actress Sonija Kwok married husband Zhu Shao Jie in October.

Recently, it was reported that the actress is already three months pregnant. At an interview two days ago, Sonija confirmed her pregnancy for the first time.

She confessed that her husband and her started making baby plans after their marriage, but did not expect the "happy moment" to arrive so soon.

"I'm really pregnant now, and is about to become a mother. This feels really interesting," Sonija said.

She added with a smile, "When I found out I was pregnant, my husband was not in Hong Kong. I told him over the phone, and he was very happy. He also kept saying that [the baby] must be a girl!"



Shao Jie wanted to have a daughter because daughters are usually very close to their father. Sonija expressed, "I don't have any preference. If it's a girl, I can dress her up; if it's a boy, he can protect me in future."

"When I first got pregnant, I had a very bad case of morning sickness and was also afraid of going to noisy places. I became very sensitive. Although my husband was constantly in China, I was lucky to have my mother to take care of me and make soup for me. I feel very blissful," she added.

Sonija let on that her husband will keep her company after he is done with his work, and they will head to China to celebrate Chinese New Year.

"I rejected a few dramas because of my pregnancy, losing up to a seven-figure paycheck. But I feel that it's really worth it because this is a happy occasion," the actress said.
