The Hong Kong singer held another wedding bash in Hong Kong recently
Hong Kong singer Karen Mok and her German husband Johannes married in Florence, Italy on Oct 1.
On Dec 18, the couple hosted a wedding reception at Tai Tam Private Club in Hong Kong, where 300 relatives and friends were in attendance.
It was a star-studded affair. Some guests included former Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and wife; Mr Tang, the late Leslie Cheung's lover, singer Eason Chan and wife, Richie Jen and Daniel Wu.
In the morning, Karen wore a traditional Chinese wedding dress, and performed the tea ceremony with Johannes at the Hong Kong Mandarin Hotel.
Karen's father, who did not attend the wedding in Italy, was grinning from ear to ear when his son-in-law offered the customary tea during the ceremony.
"I've waited a long time for this cup of tea. It tastes exceptionally good," he exclaimed.
At around 3pm, Karen changed into a light, silver wedding gown for the reception. The hall was decorated with fresh flowers, scented candles and 15 portraits from their wedding in Florence. Violinists and harpists played at the reception, adding to the romantic atmosphere.
At 4pm, the couple headed outdoors to cut their six-tiered, pink wedding cake and popped champagne.
With Christmas around the corner, Karen also arranged for a 3m-high Christmas tree, decorated with more than 300 yellow crystals to be in place. She later lit the tree in a ceremony.
An emotional Johannes said, "Thank you for all your help. I don't know how many fans Karen has, but I'm definitely No. 1."
He even said "I love you" in Cantonese.
When interviewed, Karen let on that she had sent invitation to former beaus Stephen Chow and Stephen Fung. Although both did not turn up, claiming work reasons, it did nothing to dampen the singer's jovial mood.
Karen even kissed her husband twice and laughed, "This beats holding a concert!"
She also shared that she will donate her wedding presents to UNICEF and will celebrate Christmas with her husband in Germany.
