Hong Kong singer Edison Chen's image was once again tarnished when intimate photos of him and 16-year-old model Cammi Xie surfaced.
Last week, Edison made an official apology, saying, "I was too stupid, and believed in the wrong person."
Yesterday, the singer arrived in Taiwan to promote his fashion label. When asked if he felt used by the young model, Edison's attitude towards the incident seemed to have changed.
"Everyone will receive suggestions from various people, including her manager and parents. The idea might not have come from the girl (Cammi Xie)," Edison said.
The singer added solemnly, "It's my fault. Everything's my fault."
When asked what he did wrong, Edison said, "I was too foolish."
When the media probed if he would still take intimate photos with his girlfriend again, the singer did not give a direct answer and replied, "I don't think it's that simple. I'm not answering (the question), because that's my private life."
To show his determination to change, Edison declared, "These things will not happen again. If it does, you will not see Edison Chen again."
"Fake [photographs] doesn't count," he added quickly.
However, it seemed that Edison's photo scandals had not affected his fashion business at all.
The singer's 6 fashion outlets in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia, reportedly rakes in NT$2 million (S$86,000) a month, and generated an annual estimated revenue of NT$140 million (S$6.02 million).
Edison is currently planning his seventh outlet in Beijing.
