Eason Chan denies divorce rumour

Hong Kong singer Eason Chan's concert in Taipei and Kaohsiung ended two nights ago.

When a Hong Kong magazine asked him if he was ready to divorce his wife at the post-concert celebration party, Eason lost his temper and asked the reporter to "buzz off".

The singer married former actress Hilary Tsui five years ago and the couple have a daughter. Even though Hong Kong magazines had previously reported on Hilary's excessive spending, Eason had always stood by his wife's side and supported her.

However, a Hong Kong magazine recently reported that Eason could no longer stand his wife's shopping habits and had stopped communicating with her. It was also rumoured that the singer was ready to divorce Hilary.

At the post-concert celebration party two nights ago, Eason -- who had been busy with the preparations of his concert -- finally lost his temper at the media, when they probed his personal life.

That night, Eason, with bloodshot eyes, would pose comically, although his weariness was evident. When asked if something was bothering him, the singer said that he had not slept well the night before the concert, changing the topic subtly.

When the media pressed on, asking if it was related to his failing marriage, the singer lost his temper and shouted, "Buzz off, load of rubbish!"

The singer emphasised that his relationship with Hilary is going strong and they have their own way of communication.

Eason let on that they would text each other and admitted bashfully, "I am very 'scared' of my wife actually. Thank you for your concern."

When the singer was asked about his marriage again at an autograph session held in Taiwan, he replied, "We're fine. She (Hilary) will be flattered if I keep answering this [question]."
