Andy Lau's wife suffers from severe morning sickness

Hong Kong singer Andy Lau, the newly-crowned Best Actor at the recent Golden Horse Awards, recently confirmed that his 45-year-old wife Carol Chu is pregnant.

After the actor returned to Hong Kong following an overseas work trip, he was not seen in public for two days. The A Simple Life actor reportedly reduced his workload to stay at home and be a dutiful husband to his Malaysian ex-beauty queen wife.

An insider let on that it was not a smooth pregnancy for the first-time mother. As Carol has been vomiting frequently, she was restricted to bed rest for almost a month. This prompted Andy to put work on hold to accompany his wife as best as he can, although it is understood that due to contract obligations, the 49-year-old actor will still have to continue working.



In other related news, a netizen posed as a particular media company and published a post with the title, 'The Forever Heavenly King'. The person claimed that Andy had suffered myocardial infarction in his bathroom, fainted and did not make it to the hospital in time.

The media company responded to the report, saying that they will reserve the right to execute legal actions.Andy's management agency also appealed to netizens to not repost the false news.
