In the new series 王老虎搶親, Sammul Chan plays the role of 周文賓. There is a scene that depicts Chin Ka Lok, after gulping some sexually-stimulating drugs, sees Sammul in a woman’s costume, mistakes him as a woman and leap on him. Sammul said in this series, besides having to disguise as woman, there are also some scenes in a bathing room, he jokingly said he is to sacrifice his modesty. But he has confidence in his female disguise. When asked is he afraid that by playing a woman’s role, the gay rumours will again be stirred up? He replied that the gay rumours had been for a long time, he is prepared for it, hence he is not afraid. Sammul and Nanacy Wu will be pairing up. In the series, the two of them will appear like 任白 (note: famous Chinese operas actors), so he has to go and study their films. Nancy said she will watch任白 and Steven Chow’s 唐伯虎點秋香. She also said she is not very good at ‘not laughing’, so she is afraid she will keep having NGs.
