A collaboration between Hunan Television & Beijing Television, spending more than 3 million to re-make the Jin Yong Masterpiece, Book and Swords is recently being intensely filmed in Lanzhou & Hengdian. This 40 episode olden day martial arts drama has gathered together a lot of stars. Amongst them all, N's Huo Qingtong role is particularly the focus of everyone.

Niki Chow is very happy to have been selected for the role of Huo Qing Tong & she was even more elated especially after finding out that she would be collaborating with Adam Cheng, who plays the role of an emperor in the show as well as Yuan Qiu who acts as Guan Ming Mei. She hopes that she can seize the opportunity to learn from her seniors. Niki Chow will have many scenes alongside Yuan Qiu & Wong Yat Fei in the show. She expressed, "I am very happy to be able to work with 'sis' Yuan Qiu & Fei 'brother'. I grew up watching their movies & TV series. This time around, I have learnt a lot from them. They both will very willingly guide the younger generation along & give us a lot of suggestions, making my acting skills improve tremendously."

The director also specially planned many exciting moves for N & they serve as acrobatic fighting scenes in the show. Besides learning martial arts, N also has to learn how to ride a horse. Niki says, "My personality is just like that of Huo Qingtong's, I'm an active person. Moreover, I have a dancing background. Plus, there are experts & a director to give me advice hence filming was very smooth. In addition, together with this feathery yellow costume, I hope I can bring a brand new feeling to audiences." In this show, Niki Chow has many firsts. It's her first time wearing a head costume, her first time riding a horse in the show (didn't she learn how to ride a horse before coz of TGC?), as well as her first time working with Adam Cheng etc. There are indeed many firsts for her. We have done such a clear deduction of this, sure hope Niki will excel in this show.

Furthermore, in Book and Swords, Niki will also have many scenes alongside mainland actor Qiao Zhen Yu, who acted in The Spirit of the Sword. In the show, Qiao Zhen Yu who plays the role of Chen Jia Luo & Huo Qingtong, whose role is being played by Niki Chow, will not be short of affectionate scenes, giving one a whole new fresh feel.
