Charmaine Sheh proclaims she does not want to celebrate her birthday this year
TVB’s new series “Forensic Heroes” will broadcast on Monday evening. The cast Bobby Au Yeung, Kevin Cheng, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung, Charmaine Sheh and Linda Chung etc attended the promotional event at Olympian City yesterday. They appealed to the public for donations for the earthquake victims during the event and many of the cast went into restaurants to ask for donations. They had a very good response.
Although Bobby appears to be very masculine he is also a very emotional person. His eyes appeared to be very red and he stated that he had been watching the news about the earthquake victims and he got very emotional after watching those clips. He had cried many times. Bobby expressed that he was extremely happy when his wife told him about the girl who was encouraged by Wen Jia bao on the news had eventually found her sister. Bobby says that whenever a sad incident like this happens, it teaches us a lesson that anything can be taken away from us within 1 second. That’s why we must cherish the one’s we love.
Charmaine Sheh’s birthday is on May 28th. But she states that the earthquake has influenced her mood and she does not want to celebrate her birthday this year. She has told her friends instead of buying her presents to use the money to donate to the earthquake appeal. Her birthday wish this year is to raise more money for the appeal because currently there are not enough funds to help all the victims. As for love and relationships, she states that she is currently focusing on fund-raising and will put other things aside.
Charmaine explained that while filming a new series yesterday it was all put on hold because TVB wanted the actors to help appeal for donations. It is also very rare that the company would stop filming schedules, however she was very happy to see TVB’s Luk Suk (Sixth Uncle) appear. Charmaine also cried several times when she saw the heartbreaking news of the Sichuan earthquake victims. She was particularly horrified and shocked when she saw some victims arms and legs being crushed. She hopes this incident will encourage people who are suicidal to not give their lives so easily and does not want to continue seeing suicide news.
