HK famous director Wong Jin has set off to Xian as soon as the spring holiday is over. He is preparing for his new movie, temporary named as 《秦腔》(The Voice of Qin ). His movements within the three days in Xian are a lot. Ysterday he was at Xian 都城隍庙 a temple, looking for the roots of the movie. He has also generously donated 300,000 rmb as preservation of the cultural heritage.

The new movie is getting much attention, Wong disclosed that he has contacted Andy Lau & Tony Leung, one of them will be the lead.

Though the name is temporarily set as voive of Qin, with Qin dynasty as backdrop, Wong wants the movie to showcase the beauty of the Qin dialect/music, he has thus comes to Xian to pay visits to the opera shows in the civilian neighborhood. When he heard the temple had witnessed the glorious history of Qin dynasty and its ups & downs, he set off immediately to find the trails.

The drums of the temple music gave him much delight, he was full of admiration of the ancient music, screamed, “Indeed shockingly good!”

The reporter learnt that Wong who is the executive producer will also be the director. At the moment most of the investments have poured in, shooting can start anytime. It is a movie with a little of science fiction element, a live & death love story. The dialogue will not be in Qin language, but the audience will get to know what Qin dialect is. The name may change in due course, for overseas market, such words like ‘dreams’, 'Changan' will appear.

The female lead has not been confirmed. But male lead will be a big name, “I have contacted both Andy & Tony, one of them should be in this movie.”

Then, will the lead in the movie sing the tunes of Qin? The sponsor spokesmansaid this definitely will not happen. Whether they will sing Qin tune or not, their presence is going to be a big selling point.
